First, it would be best if you have the mindset that you are camping, but at a place with much greater comfort than usual. You should plan accordingly with what you bring in terms of equipment and such. Our hut is a spacious portable $24,000 US Armed Forces unit set up for rapid deployment in the Middle East.  It is insulated with a dead air space lining, multiple screened windows ventilation and heating ports. You are screened by its location from seeing civilization.  One end of the hut is open at this time of year, but has privacy curtains and insect netting to be drawn at night. There are remarkably few mosquitos in this area, however.  The site is about a one minute walk to the river, which has many miles of untouched riparian woodlands, and you rarely see anyone else while exploring. There is also a large BBQ area with a campfire and table. You will need to bring your own charcoal. There is a three burner Coleman propane stove, with propane provided. We provide paper plates, utensils and cooking gear such as pots and pans. There is a sink for cleaning up.  It is pet friendly, and we have set up a new small fence (not shown in the pictures) across the front to keep most pets inside when needed. As mentioned elsewhere, there is no refrigeration but we provide coolers, so please bring some ice, which is available in Geyserville's small market.

Awesome spot, cool host
William has set up a really cool campsite very close to the river (2 min walk to the closest spot on the river, 10 min walk to an awesome fishing/swimming hole where he set up a shade structure + couch). Will is also super cool and accommodating. He goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of, and is a really interesting guy if you take the time to talk to him. During our trip he lent us his kayak, and "rescued" my dog (a big baby who got scared of the rapids) when he got stuck on a bank. His dogs are super friendly and got along with my dog really well.

Perfect glamping
Fun, private and so comfortable. All amenities worked well. William is a super good host, on the spot if any questions or problems (there weren't any), helpful with local swim spots but respects your privacy. Fantastic for dogs. Close to market and nice hiking around Sonoma Lake. We will be back for sure. Note good WiFi is available in the hut.

Pick Your Adventure!
Get ready for an Adventure- the only thing you need to do is choose one, and let the fun times begin! William's place has virtually everything you need to enjoy this area of the Russian River. Spacious, rural, and Spartan, this place for the rustic adventurer, and not so much for the faint hearted. My dog and I were in absolute heaven! Theres so much to do within walking distance, I never left the site once I parked. Spent the day swimming at a private river swim hole, and enjoyed the amazing weather and clear skies!!! Wish i went fishing. Absolutely coming back !!!

Cool camping experience
We had a great time in William's Quonset. We had fun on the river (about 0.5 mile walk from the campsite in the summer). It was unusual and really cool. William was a great host and was very responsive whenever we had questions. It was a great weekend!

It was camping without having to set up tent or set up camp at all. I slept on a comfortable mattress and we watched movies before bed because with the red flag warnings it was not a good idea to have a campfire. We caught 3 fish in the river, bird watching was fantastic so bring binoculars. We had a great time just hanging out and William the host is very kind.
