The vibe at Creekside RV
Places to see near Camp Stoney Meadows
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Camp Stoney Meadows was awesome. The owners have only very recently opened their private working ranch to outsiders, and it feels like a privilege to experience this hidden valley over a bridge at the end of the road. In addition to the RV parking we used, they rent cabins with full kitchens and bathrooms, and bunkhouses for additional bedding; plus, great campsites for tenting. This place would be an amazing location for group retreats. They generate their own energy from the hydroelectric of the creek and an uphill natural spring. They work a mill, a farm, and have dozens of animals. We stayed in early April and arrived in a downpour, so we didn't get to hike to the hot-springs, but they showed us the trail head down the road, which would lead a quarter mile to the hot springs ( good resource article here : https://www.ultimatehotspringsguide.com/hunt-hot-springs.html ) . Both Scott and Nora were very personable, and yet their house lies on the opposite side of the valley, so it felt like our private creekside camp in complete solitude.
Great area, glad we found it.
My wife and I stayed there two nights in our 23 foot RV. We were able to easily back into the shaded spot. The area is beautiful with a running creek to enjoy listening to, or get in on hot days. Nora and Scott were great hosts and were very personable.
