About #14 Private Camping along Creek
#14 Sioux - Tent along the Creek
Camp Nauvoo is a special gathering place to bring family and friends together in beautiful and natural surroundings conveniently located near Placerville. The property features 86.5 secluded acres with beautiful year-round Weber Creek running through it. The property features a lodge as well as restrooms with showers (flush toilets). There is a playground, volleyball and basketball courts along with many miles of hiking trails and of course swimming in Weber Creek. We also have a campfire bowl that has group stadium seating and a lighted stage for entertainment. BBQ provided in common area adjacent to the lodge. We are located in the foothills so many wonderful hikes, gold mines and wineries.
This site is located along the lower creek. We currently only have a tent site and a glamping teepee (#13) located in this area. Would be ideal for someone wanting a tent and glamping site together - very private. Each camp spot has its own picnic table and this particular site allows you to park near your camping spot.

The vibe at #14 Private Camping along Creek
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
#14 is the camping site furthest away from the facilities and other camp sites. That privacy is nice if its what you're looking for, though you do have to trek across a bit to use the facilities. Also, the driveway into the place goes right above this site. Fortunately there aren't too many people coming and going, but anyone who does would look right down into the site.
We actually ending up staying in #12 because of that. It was just behind the bonfire area. So it was actually more private then any of the others except for the 2 or so hours at night when everyone gather around the fire for smores or others. You can actually see the picnic bench of it in the photo titled "The communal fire pit..."
The creek was a ton of fun even for our toddler and the facilities clean. The camp host was accommodating and around, so that was nice. This place definitely has the summer camp for the family vibe and you are definitely seeing\passing\interacting with others there.
Camps #4, 5, 6, 15 look interesting because I think the path to each is through the camps of each.
We tend to go to more remote\private camping excursions, but this weekend was so last minute that this worked out. We really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it. Do have a look at the hand drawn map of the place on the photos to get a sense of the layout, if any of that matters.
Also, if you have a big group, this seems like itd be a great place to host folks at.
