We are 10 minutes away from Sonora, 30 minutes away from Pinecrest. 90 minutes away from the 120 entrance to Yosemite. Our camp is perfect for all seasons. at 2800 feet elevation we really dont get snow, but we are 45 minutes away from Dode Ridge Ski resort and the Snow Park play area on Hwy 108. There are so many things to do and see here at all times of year. Columbia State Park and Railtown in Jamestown are wonderful. Come and enjoy Tuolumne County and the views I have had since a child.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Camp Heather far exceeded my (high) expectations; the view, the wildlife, the quiet, the stars, the amenities, the host - all of it. Pictures do not give the sweeping views justice. This spot is truly a slice of paradise. The thoughtful and gracious hosts did not overlook a single detail from the sweet welcome basket to the onsite grill -- everything was tailored for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. The hosts were not only helpful and knowledgeable of the local spots to explore (hiking trails, swimming holes), they were warm communicative. We are already looking forward to our next stay at Camp Heather!
This place is pure magic! We were lucky enough to be the first Hipcampers to stay here and the views are indescribable. Alan was very attentive and helpful. Great host! We had plenty of places to pick from to pitch our tent, and a whole gazebo to ourselves where we hung most of the evening overlooking the mountains, forest, and valley. We saw wildlife on the property which was awesome - deer, quail, and other various animals. We had a clear view of the moon rising over the mountains around 10pm and there were stars galore. This is definitely a place you’ll remember once you stay here, can’t reccomend it enough — My new favorite Hipcamp!
This was a lovely campsite. We really enjoyed waking up to the amazing vista. The wood gazebo is a lovely spot to enjoy the view and have a relaxing breakfast. We also enjoyed looking at the stars from the wooden chairs overlooking the view. Alan was a great host and had a lot of small touches that made the stay nice - citronella candles and lighter to keep the bugs away, clear instructions to help us find our way since we arrived in the evening, informational books and magazines to help you learn more about the the history and attractions around Tuolomne. There are also two neighborly cats to greet you. Highly recommend this spot.
Beautiful beautiful space with incredible views. My friend and I were very happy staying here before heading to Yosemite. Our hosts were extremely helpful and nice throughout our stay as well!
This is a beautiful spot with amazing views! We celebrated New Year's Eve infront of the fireplace underneath the stars and are very happy with our stay. Camp Heather worked great for us who were glamping, we could drive our car right up to the spot. Alan's house is just close by and you use his private bathroom, which was nice for us as we were winter camping - that hot shower, indoors, was divine. The house is very close so it's not that secluded which can be good to keep in mind - if you want deep nature it is not the best spot but if you like the glamping life, this is perfect! Alan, the host, was very nice, respectful of privacy, and gave us tons of tips for things to explore in the area. Would stay again!
