Bring your gear and set up your hammock high in Lake Berryessa hills near the famous Glory Hole!  This off the beaten path camp site is perfect for your urban detox.  The road trip will take you through scenic mountain vistas,  orchards and ends winding creekside to expansive views of Lake Berryessa.

Completely secluded raw land, this day camp is the perfect place to gather with friends to experience an untouched part of Napa. Explore nearby Winters, CA, its quaint downtown, with wine tasting, fruits from local orchards, and electric vehicle charging station, just miles away.

Across the site, is a well-maintained trail, giving you impressive access to Lake Berryessa. Take a morning dip in the lake, rent a jet ski or boat at nearby Markley Cove. Mornings and late afternoons are most serene escapes.

Up the hill, picnic tables and chairs let you entertain and relax in comfort. Host a gathering or enjoy the seclusion, cook over an open fire or on the available grill, and stargaze.  Enjoy the quiet morning with your fireside coffee. Bring your own charcoal for grilling local veggies and bring your own firewood for nighttime toastiness.

*A steep access way means a 4x4 with 4LO mode and adequate clearance is necessary.  Check in must be during daylight hours.  No 4x4? Then park at entrance and hike your stuff up!  Must be in moderate physical shape to hike.

*Those with bee allergies should take proper precaution.  Bring repellents and build fires when eating.

Great campsite! It's gated just off the highway. Very private and large campgrounds removed from everything else. We had two pickup trucks and 5 tents, still with room to spare. If you want to avoid walking up and down the hill that takes you to the campsite, it's necessary to have a 4x4 vehicle.
The campsite has two picnic tables, a charcoal grill and chairs. Also, if you hike up another hill at the campsite there is a hammock. Unbelievable views, great time! We'll be back.

We came up the weekend after July 4th and we were concerned about the Yolo county fires (for our trip and most importantly for the residents of Yolo county). Adam was so proactive in keeping us abreast of the situation. He even personally checked on the site the morning we were to show up. I truly felt he cared about our well being. We had a fantastic (yet HOT) weekend, which was pleasantly spent mostly in nearby clear lake. The sunsets were out of this world.

We had a great overnight stay at Lakeside Overlook. It takes some effort to walk up the steep road to the campsite, but the wonderfull view and the feeling of privacy is a great reward. We woke up early and went for a dip in the Lake. Great way to start a day! Highly recommend this spot.

The site is wonderful and a great camp for those wanting to cross the road and hang out in the lake.

An added bonus was the two picnic tables, 12 plastic Adirondack chairs, and a charcoal grill on site.

The path from the road to the campsite is very steep so if you plan on bringing a lot of stuff you must have an AWD/4WD car with a Subaru or higher amount of ground clearance. Unless you are in good shape you would not want to hike up the path with a lot of gear.

Great views, lots of space, walk to the lake!

The campsite is private, spacious and discreetly located overlooking the lake. Plenty of space for a few campers with a fire ring, some seats and 2 picnic tables. Walk up the hill and relax in the hammock to nap while enjoying sweeping views of the lake, there's also room to set up a couple more hammocks in the adjacent trees. Definitely have a truck or 4wd vehicle with decent clearance and some guts to get up the hill. Adam was easy to communicate with and very friendly.

I would definitely recommend this site and stay here again!

Definitely need an off road vic. Hill is steep leading to camp site. Get your hiking legs in gear if planning to walk to site. Cool camp site.

Really loved staying here! Super private spot with a ton of space for tents, cars, tables, etc. Right across from the lake with some stellar views 30 seconds walk up the hill. The driveway is indeed a 4x4 sort of road (made it up with the Jeep and the Subaru but not the Golf). Note that it can also get pretty windy up there on the hill as well. Would definitely stay here again!
