Tucked away but close to town.
HUGE property, with lots of privacy. Megan was very easy going and flexible, there are lots of options for accomodations, though there were a few miscommunications. They are making lots of improvements to their Camp, upper bathrooms VERY nice, lower are fine but old. Pool was very clean and warm. Had a very nice weekend. Super short walk down the hill to ice cream, coffee, brewery, food.
I had a wonderful stay here! The host was so so sweet and accommodating for me. There was a pool, hot showers, toilets, clean bathrooms, plenty of space and a dump station. Also super close to town, groceries, beach. It was perfect for my stay. would definitely stay here again. Cell phone service as well (I have t-mobile) but no wifi, but that wasn’t a problem for me. VanLife friendly camp site.
The camp was a very convenient and economical spot in Arroyo Grande to have a stopover while travelling along the 101. Was able to walk to a variety of restaurants over the hill and have a safe, quite, and clean area to set up a tent and get a good night sleep. There is also a nice oak tree grove for hammock sleeping.
Safe slumber and wonderful wildlife
Camp AG is a beautiful gift tucked into the hills of Arroyo Grande. Megan greeted us and offered a bit of history about the camp and its vision while she showed us to our site. Our overnight stay was quiet and safe. Our site was conveniently located near the restrooms under an amazing tree. We woke to the chirping of birds and two deer grazing nearby. Would definitely recommend and will plan to return!
Very nice, clean spot with all the trappings you could hope for. I don’t know if we happened to come on a slower weekend, but it was very quiet and peaceful. We had the community fire pit to ourselves Saturday and Sunday evening. Everything is spaced out nicely and kept in good, clean condition. There is plenty of room to social distance. And as simple as the grounds are, I could definitely bring my family members who are more “particular” about their camping experiences.
This would be a good place to come with family members who don’t like tent camping because they can stay in a cabin while those who like tents have that option, too.
One bummer was not being able to use the pool during our stay. I will update whether it is a consistent issue once I’ve come back.
Booked this site on a spontaneous coastal road trip with my husband and our two dogs a day prior to our stay. Embarrassingly new to Hipcamp but luckily we had an amazing host! We set up our hammock on the leafy hillside. There was evidence of spiders but we had no encounters. Our hostess allowed us to set up our tent as well upon request. It was a bit chilly for the pups. We had all amenities available to us including restrooms and running showers.
Our hostess was quick to respond via messages. I was especially fond of the property being gated and that a code was needed to enter. We purchased fresh eggs from the hostess’ free range chickens! They came in handy for our next few days on the road.
I am curious to see how the campus will turn out after construction is done. Would definitely book here again maybe in one of the lodges or when camp sites open up!
Very affordable with a great host
This tent site was perfect! Especially for the price. Megan, the host, is so sweet. I was greeted by her & her 2 dogs and they all made me feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again!!
