Calistoga Springs is located in the heart of Sonoma wine country. We are near Kenwood, Glen Ellen, Healdsburg, and Windsor. Close to Napa -- 20 minutes to Calistoga, 25 minutes to St. Helena by car. Property has rolling hills, redwood forest, and spectacular views. Sonoma County has so much to offer outdoors: go for a hike, bike ride, paddle down the Russian River, go wine tasting, enjoy the quiet peaceful setting.
Calistoga Springs offers privacy and serenity in and around our spectacular 46 acres of forest, redwoods, and rolling hills. Views of mountains and vineyards surround the property.
Wine tastings, hot air balloon rides, Safari West, the Russian River, Spring Lake, Annadel Park, Lake Sonoma, Armstrong Redwoods, zip-lining, and so much more are located close by or a short drive away. We are located just a few miles from Safeway, Oliver’s Market, True Value Hardware, and other conveniences so you can stock up on necessities. Cell coverage from Verizon and AT&T on the property; there does not seem to be T-Mobile coverage.
Four private campsites are set hundreds of feet apart. Each campsite has ~ 1/2 acre all to itself. The campsites are all up on the top of the property accessed by a fairly steep, dirt/rocky road. At this time, AWD/4WD vehicles are needed to drive to the campsites. Sites 1 and 3 require driving a long dirt/grassy path access off the main dirt road. Site 1 is fairly steep to access. Unfortunately, due to the steep grade, we cannot accommodate any RVs or Airstream campers.
Site #1 is a large site and can support several tents -- it is spacious, surrounded by trees on 3 sides, overlooks the mountains, offers lots of privacy and is great for larger groups (3 - 4 tents easily accommodated). It offers shade under various trees, and late afternoon shade from the west tree ridge.
Site #2, another large site, sits at the top of a ridge opposite the property’s spring fed pond. Site #2 can accommodate a couple of tents, and offers wonderful views of the mountain range, redwoods and vineyards. Site 2 is probably the most sun exposed campsite, but also has the most expansive views.
Site #3, a hidden gem is surrounded by forest and overlooks vineyards, rolling hills and the Sonoma/Napa mountain ridge. It gets a lot of afternoon shade being flanked by the redwoods.
Site #4, possibly the largest site, is located next to the cherry plum tree offers privacy next to a seasonal creek. It has a lot of shady spots and is the most hidden campsite with lovely mountain views. It is also a large site which can support several tents. Site 4 is the shortest walk to the wine barrel adirondack chairs at landing 2.
There are two lookout landing spots guests can enjoy, each with two chairs on a wood deck. Calistoga Springs offers redwoods, firs, manzanitas, oaks and bay laurels throughout the property. Sunsets can be spectacular. Star gazing is amazing...see Saturn, the milky way, the Big Dipper and more.
Due to the fire hazards, no campfires are allowed at this time. A camping stove or camping/bbq grill is fine to use.
During Covid-19, the group size at each spot is limited to 8 people. Four campers are included in the listed price, with an additional fee of $20 per additional person per night. Be sure to have hand sanitizer with you. Ensure you have a mask in case you come in contact with other campers and cannot maintain 6-foot distance. However, all campsites are hundreds of feet apart.
Each campsite includes a picnic table and a trash can. Water is accessible at the host’s home from a hose, approximately 1/3 mile down the dirt road from the campsites. There are no bathrooms/toilets at this time (by May 2021 we should have a porta-potty on site for campers).
Campers must arrive before 5:00 pm (no exception) as it gets dark and there are no lights up the road and no lights at the campsite.

A beautiful, easy getaway camping from the East Bay. The sites are private and well marked with very generous distance between. We stayed in #3 with great valley views. The platforms with chairs on the hillside are every bit as good as they look! Our host Roxanne had hot coffee and muffins for us when we woke up... What a treat!!! There's some poison oak around, but, come on, this is camping in northern California! Book these sites with confidence, we'll be back for sure!

This site was awesome! Super private with great evening views out over the vineyards from the landing. It was secluded from the other camps and there was enough shade for a hot day. There is also a metal trash can included at the site, which is always nice to not have to keep trash in your car to avoid critters. Roxanne was also an incredible host! She went out of her way to make our time special. She was super responsive on text, she drove two of our group members and their stuff up the short, steep hill in her dune-buggy/ATV when their car didn't make it (AWD Subaru was fine to get to the site) and shepherded them back down at the end of the trip. She had some great local recommendations and good directions to get to the site (including a paper map of the property). We bought a bottle of wine at a vineyard but forgot glasses and Roxanne hooked us up with four camping glasses for us to take up to the site. In the morning, she put out coffee, tea, yogurt, ice water, and muffins. This was a great stay -- no fires at this site (obviously because of the dry area) but the stars are poppin' and give you lots to see at night! Roxanne has some super cool plans to expand this site, hopefully we can come back and check them out. Thank you, Roxanne! This was an incredible getaway to wine country!

We stayed at site 3 and had an amazing view, especially from the nearby deck with chairs. The road getting in was a little tough so make sure you have a capable vehicle.
This is one of the best campsites in Napa I have been to so far. Roxanne was super welcoming and accommodating and guided us the 1/4 mile up a fairly steep dirt road to our campsite #2. It is on a little ridge on top on the property with a natural pond surrounded by trees on one side and amazing views on the other. The site has lot of privacy and plenty of space for a couple of tents. It is mostly sun exposed but has trees along it's side that serve for protection. The site features a table with 4 chairs which was the perfect set up for our stove. We really enjoyed our outdoor cooking session and lounging into the night under an amazing night sky. We really hope to come back at least once this summer.
Roxanne was an incredible host! Super warm and welcoming, she was extremely communicative from our point of booking through our final departure. She also gave us some great recommendations for the area, including river access. We’ll definitely be back as long as she’ll have us:)

Roxanne’s hospitality was amazing! She met us at the entrance and provided transportation to our site in her AWD vehicle. She also gave us hot water in the evening upon request and a lovely breakfast snack. The site was clean and well maintained and there were two sitting areas with comfy Adirondack chairs. Would definitely consider camping here again.
This is a really nice campground. The host is super responsive and was very helpful in getting us and our stuff up the steep hill to the campsite from the road in a gator.
We happened to be camping on the night of a once-in-a-generation summer thunderstorm and had to leave in a hurry at 4:30 am because we weren’t prepared for bad weather. We didn’t try to contact the host due to the hour, but she told us later she was waiting by the phone if anyone needed her. She went above and beyond after we left by finding some items that had been blown into the woods while we were sleeping and returning them to us.
We had the best time at Calistoga Springs! The campsites are private, spacious, and so beautiful. Roxanne was an amazing host and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Definitely planning to come back soon!!
Definitely book! We booked with Roxanne VERY last minute because our original campsite nearby was not up to par when we arrived. We instant booked with Calistoga Springs and arrived at their door 20 minutes later. They rushed home to greet us and did everything they could to accommodate us quickly. Every site is very private and you can’t go wrong. Please don’t hesitate to book, the views are one of a kind and you won’t regret you chose to stay. We will definitely be back!
