This is a truly special and private place. The campsites at the DeerHaven Apple Orchard are large and open, nestled in the valley floor along Fay Creek, a salmon spawning creek at that. The 408 acre ranch is a unique blend of open pastures up top with the  dramatic panoramic and ocean views, the private creekside meadow at the antique apple orchard of purely heirloom varieties right along the babbling creek. This is a sacred place, once deforested of it native Redwoods, is now left largely to the natural plant and animal wildlife and only minimally farmed.  Casari Ranch is a life love story come true! We have dreamed of stewarding this land for a lifetime. Overcoming amazing odds, we've been able to purchase the ranch in the winter of 2018. Both ranchers from nearby Valley Ford, we have a  passion for land stewardship, sustainable farming and ranching, and sharing their ranch with the right people. We'd love to share our family-the horses, the sheep, the goats, the chickens, donkeys,llama's and our wild animal friends with you. The diverse micro-environments on the ranch host numerous native and exotic plants. In addition we have started a medicinal herb garden that can be toured by appointment.

    Quiet creekside apple orchard
    This campsite was perfect for our needs as friends coming from all over the Bay Area to meet up. No limit to parking and tent setup locations so didn’t have any of those complicated logistics. Plenty of options of shade and sun. Porta potty is clean! The other reviews of the dogs are pretty accurate - for the most part the dogs are sweet or aren’t around, but they did like to get into our trash and were occasionally loud, so if you’re not dog people it could be a dealbreaker. Possibly the best part is dinner at the nearby Casino Bar in Bodega: look up the weekend dinner menu before your trip and make sure to get there for a mind blowing meal!

    Quiet creekside apple orchard
    Very beautiful site
    This was a very pretty site, close to the beach and the sweet little town. We stayed for two nights and had a very nice time. The sites are somewhat close together but there are only 2-3. It’s like state park camping distance, so plenty of distance. Once you are settled in, the trees and moss are breathtaking. Pro tips: Salmon Creek is a bit further north (10-15 mins) and we liked it a lot! At 11:30 the surfers are leaving and there sun comes out, so it’s great for a beach visit! Be careful with directions READ THEM and know Verizon doesnt get good service. Do not feed the pups no matter how cute they are :) they are very well cares for and do not need your scraps.

    Quiet creekside apple orchard
    Hidden gem of Bodega
    Exactly what we were looking for. We had so much fun and the hosts were very nice. The camp grounds were maintained well and clean. It was very peaceful and serene. Our main purpose was to enjoy time with each other in a calm secluded location and that is exactly what we got. The hosts made sure we had enough wood for our camp fire and their dogs were sweethearts. My 4 year old fell in love with pups Daisy & Billy and she just had a blast when they would come to visit.
