Heaven for animal lovers!
Our site and hosts were so wonderful that we ended up spending an extra day just to hang out with them! Mark and Bonnie welcomed us as if we were one of the family and we felt so lucky to have found them. The property is filled with citrus and olives, over 60 super friendly farm animals that made our stay even more interesting and fun. We got to pet baby sheep, walk around with the chickens, there was always a dog somewhere to pet, and we even got to hold their newborn kittens! If you love animals this is definitely the place for you. You'll wake up to roosters calling, chickens clucking, and beautiful sunshine. Only a little over an hour from Sequoia National Park, we were able to bounce back and forth to the park and drive really scenic roads the whole way. Lots of potential adventures nearby! We couldn't recommend the site any more highly and can't wait to come back!
Lovely hosts and lots of animals!
Our hosts were absolutely fantastic. They were kind, patient and helpful when I had questions, and overall just very pleasant people. The site itself was gorgeous with sheep and chickens very close by. We were lucky and actually got to see some newborn sheep (only a day old!). Lovely experience and hope to come back soon.
The perfect sequoia stay!
Staying at Olive Ranch was such a great experience! We arrived late from a day hiking in Sequoia and Bonnie already had a fire going for us when we arrived! Beautiful property with shady trees, farm animals, and just enough privacy. Would recommend to everyone!
This farm was a slice of heaven!
This little farm was a slice of heaven! We had so much fun frolicking with chickens, cats, sheep, and dogs. We even got a personal concert from the owners fathers band! They welcomes us into their home and were so kind. A fire pit and fresh wood was laid out for us when we arrived. I couldn't believe how well the trip turned out. Thanks Bonnie and Mark!!!
Great property, accomodating hosts!
The Olive Ranch defied all expectations we had coming in. It is a beautiful property. Bonnie and Mark were extremely friendly and accomodating. They provided everything you could hope for from a standard campsite including a very clean port-a-potty, potable water, and access to electricity. They even set up a rain canopy for our tent prior our arrival due to a chance of rain and let us borrow a full camping kitchen set. All of the free range chickens and sheep around were a bonus. Would absolutely recommend! It is about a 25 minute drive to the Sequoia National Park entrance.
Bonnie and Mark were great, they greeted us and showed us around the area! We were car camping which made us their first car campers!! They were very accommodating and didn’t have an issue with it at all! They had a jug of clean water for us, a fire pit ready to start and a very clean portapotty! OH! And we could pick oranges/lemons... this place tucked away and just sweet! Wish we could have spent a little more time but it will be saved on the list if we’re ever in the area again!
This site was very cute and clean. The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful. They even put all their chickens away since I had my two dogs with me! Very close to lake kaweah and sequoia. The three things I would note is that the site is very close to the house so do not expect too much privacy and there are a lot of fruit trees on the farm so expect fruit flys in the summer. Lastly, they do have roosters so if you are a light sleeper maybe bring ear plugs. Other than that I would recommend this camp to my friends!
This campsite is great! It is very close to Sequoia National Park (about half an hour away), and the campsite itself is very clean! The owners are incredibly nice people, and even gave us some of their free range eggs and a book about the area. They even offered us some of their fruits, though we unfortunately forgot about it. They gave us a great tour of their land (lots of farm life!) and they had adorable cats and dogs. Although it was very hot (summer time), there is a lot of shade to protect you. It’s also very close to a lake and rivers where you can cool off. They also have some bugs around, but they provide torches which help. Amazing campsite, definitely recommend and would camp here again!
Heaven near sequoia np.
Bonnie's place is heaven near Sequoia NP. Lots of space, and Bonnie will do everything possible to make you feel happy. Clean toilet and (outdoor) shower. I want to live there.
