I have owned this property since 2003 but it was born out of the California Homesteading Act of the 1950s. Its surrounding by hundred year old joshua trees, yucca, and several variety of cactus and desert plants. Roamed by coyotes, giant jackrabbits, squirrels, & chipmunks. You will see the ocassional tarantula & scorpion but rarely have I seen a rattlesnake (twice in 14 years). If you do see a snake its normally a red racer or gopher snake which are not poisonous and good to control the rodent population. You will seen playful bats dart around looking for insects at sunset in late summer and theres always something interesting to encounter in the beautiful wild desert. Just be aware of your surroundings, have water & sunscreen, and watch where you step and you'll be fine. California's high desert is a fun learning experience and an adventure for all ages.

Rockin Retro Bago
I had an amazing vacation here! Staying here allowed us to enjoy camping out in the desert but also having the comforts of home at the same time. Our host Randy was so nice and accommodating! Whenever we needed help Randy made sure that we had everything. Randy and their family were so kind but also give you all the space you need. All of our needs were met and staying here couldn’t have been better. 10/10 would stay here again!!

Desert Harbor Retro Camper
The RV's at Randy's are themed and retro, snug in a lot with petting goats, ducks, games, and even a grill with plenty of seating. The hosts, Randy and Beth are extremely welcoming and kind! Besides the lack of privacy since the RV's are snug with each other and the house, and a few amenities inside the RV's like tableware, these are great places for the price and you are minutes from Joshua Tree park.

Desert Harbor Retro Camper
I had a great stay at Randy's camper, everyone was incredibly hospitable and I even joined them for a lovely dinner. The camper is well located, with easy access to the town and park. I would recommend staying with them anytime!
