Play with baby goats, eat fresh eggs and enjoy the amazing views! You are on top of a hill on 11 acres in the high desert bordered by mountains in this beautiful valley. You can see the sunrise over the mountains and the sunsets are usually spectacular! In the morning around 7:00am you can see hot air balloons lift off from the wineries in Temecula Valley.
Enjoy watching the sunset from our hot tub! This is by far the most popular attraction besides the baby goats. The hot tub is chlorinated.
You can hear my roosters crow in the morning (and at night, roosters have no respect for quiet time. If this bothers you, bring ear plugs. We also sell good quality wax ear plugs for $2/pair) and our Nigerian Dwarf Goats beg for treats and attention. You are welcome to play with the baby goats and chicks (when we have them) when we show you around. I have treats you can give the goats and get pictures with them.
You can purchase Organic Farm Fresh eggs that we sell $4/dozen.
We also have firewood, ice, charcoal and other items if you forget these. We are 25 minutes away from any stores.
It is so quiet you can hear the crows wings flapping as they fly by. You will see field mice, rabbits, squirrels, road runners, small lizards, coyotes and other desert animals.
For current, local events that may be of interest follow us on Facebook or go to our website. Just search for Bierbaum Pepper Farm.
We are less than 15 minutes away from Temecula Wine Country with over 50 wineries in the area. We can tell you which are dog friendly as we go to those often.
Lake Skinner and French Valley Preserve are 15 minutes away.
Diamond Valley Lake is 30 minutes away and is a great hike to see desert wild flowers when they are blooming. It is famous for the Super Bloom that you could see from space! I highly suggest you Google it.
We have portable fire pits that you can take back to your campsite IF there is no wind and IF there are no local fire bans in effect. There is a charcoal BBQ grill in the common area that is available. Bring your own charcoal or purchase a bag from us. DO NOT use firewood in the charcoal grill.
We have a common area/garden where you can sit with a beer or watch the sunrise with coffee. We also have a drinking/water fountain and charging station in the common area. The charging station has 2 outlets and 6 USB plugs. WiFi is available in the common area but does not extend to the campsites.
Keep in mind that the price reflects the amenities here. We are in wine country and charging $40/night. A room out here is no less than $200/night and there are other hipcamps in the area between $60-$160/night. This is for the camper that doesn't need or want amenities. This is camping, not glamping.
We limit the number of campers so you can enjoy the property with peace and solitude. There are only 8 camp sites on 11 acres so that you can spread out and enjoy the peace.
We have a solar shower! The temperature of the water depends on how much sun we get that day so early morning showers will be cold! Check the temperature of the water before stepping under because it can get very hot or cold! Also realize the hot water is limited and it will take a couple hours before it will heat up again between showers. Showers will only be warm for 5-10 minutes.
If you bring friends, make sure you give them the link to the listing so they know what to expect! This isn't glamping and if you sell it to them like it is then they will be disappointed, you will have a bad trip when they whine about it and it's not fair to us if they leave a bad review because they expected glamping when we are very straight forward about the amenities and what we offer.
DESCRIPTION OF EACH SITE:
There are pros-cons to each site and it depends what you are looking for while camping. There are no tables/chairs at the sites. Tables/chairs are provided in the common areas.
Sites 1-3 are closer together if you need to book multiple sites to be close to other campers. These are also closer to the bathroom/shower/dumpster area. These are closer to the drive way and offer less privacy. They are also closer to the chickens/roosters so if roosters crowing at 3am will bother you, we recommend bringing earplugs. We will also have earplugs available for purchase if needed. You can park at these locations.
Site 1 is the only site of these 3 that offers shade in the form of 2 big pine trees. You can hang a hammock between them.
Sites 4-6 are more spread out but farther away from everything. There is no shade but there is room to spread out as much as you want. You can park at these sites. These sites offer more privacy from other campers and are ideal for big groups as there is a lot of room to spread out.
Site 7 does not offer close parking. It is the smallest site with room for one tent and it offers a little shade from 2 small pine trees. It is close to the common area but further away from the bathrooms/shower/dumpster area. It is set on a hill overlooking the valley and offers some privacy if you walk down the hill a little.

- Check out: Before 11AM

Marcella was an amazing communicator and was quick to answer any questions I had, she even sent photos of shaded areas on the property upon request!!!!! I was impressed at how Marcella readily went above and beyond to accommodate me.
Oh my goodness, baby goats!!!!!! Way too cute, and rather friendly too!
We had a great time! The jacuzzi during sunset is pretty incredible and the communication with Marcella was a breeze. We were the only guests during our stay so it was a very private experience which was an added bonus. Thank you for sharing your lovely space with us.
What a gem! Marcella was really kind as well as detailed in her explanation of camp rules and expectations. Feeding/petting goats, hearing roosters AND eagles! We even got to see a hot air balloon. We will be back! Thank you, Marcella!
The place is exactly as advertised. Hosts are kind as can be but give you your space as well. We had campsites 5 and 6 and it was perfect. Would highly recommend this site for those looking for a tent camping experience. You could not even see the hosts house from the site and we had 10 plus people very comfortably. We went to the local dog friendly wineries which Marcella recommended for the day and came back for a sunset hotub. We could not have been happier with it all.
Marcella was so nice! She was very helpful and had everything we needed. She even accommodated us when we asked last minute if we could check in an hour early. The site was perfect- absolutely nothing wrong, with a shower and bathroom as a plus. The views from site #4 of the sunset, stars, sunrise, and hot air balloon were amazing and sights i will never forget.
Farm animals and wineries!
Marcella was such a lovely host. She gave us a tour and waited up for us to arrive. We were so late because of LA traffic.
The common area was so cozy. We enjoyed our first night relaxing in the hot tub lit by tiki torches. While it was super hot, the hammock misters and shade from the trees helped us a bit. We drove to a nearby winery, somerset to escape the heat. Only $25 for a tasting and a flight! Ending the evening with a campfire facing a full moon was incredible.
We also loved petting the goats and bunnies. However, the roosters were quite noisy but farm animals can't help it I suppose. You could camp in a further spot if it bothers you but we loved being so close to the common area. This location is also so nice because you get views of sunsets and sunrises.
I would definitely suggest this beautiful location if you want to tour wineries and get a farm experience.
Had a wonderful time here. Marcella was so nice, spending time with us and introducing us to her goats and chickens! We had no problems finding their driveway...just drive slow and you can’t miss the black mailbox with the address on the pole. We would go back again! Thank you Marcella and David!!!
Marcella & David were very accommodating. We only got to spend a night at the pepper farm, but it treated us to a gorgeous sunset and a starry night sky. The goats are hilarious!
