Play with baby goats (due to be born Mid-late January 2019), eat fresh eggs and enjoy the amazing views! You are on top of a hill on 11 acres in the high desert bordered by mountains in this beautiful valley. You can see the sunrise over the mountains and the sunsets are usually spectacular! In the morning around 7:00am you can see hot air balloons lift off from Temecula.
Enjoy watching the sunset from our hot tub! This is by far the most popular attraction besides the baby goats.
You can hear my roosters crow in the morning (and at night, roosters have no respect for quiet time) and our Nigerian Dwarf Goats beg for treats and attention. You are welcome to play with the baby goats and chicks when we show you around. I have treats you can give the goats and get pictures with them.
You can purchase Organic Farm Fresh eggs that we sell $4/dozen (or $2 for a half dozen). We will soon be selling our goat cheese and goat milk soap too! mmmm cheesy eggs for breakfast! In the spring we will have hot peppers grown from hydroponics and other vegetables.
It is so quiet you can hear the crows wings flapping as they fly by. You will see field mice, rabbits, squirrels, road runners, small lizards and other desert animals.
We are less than 15 minutes away from wine country with over 50 wineries in the area. We can tell you which are dog friendly as we go to those often.
Lake Skinner and French Valley Preserve are 15 minutes away.
Diamond Valley Lake is 30 minutes away and is a great hike to see desert wild flowers. It is famous for the Super Bloom that you could see from space! I highly suggest you Google it.
Lake Elsinore, Mt. San Jacinto, Palomar Mountain, Los Coyotes Reservation, San Diego Safari Park, etc. are less than an hour drive away.
San Diego, L.A. and Joshua Tree National Park are all 1.5 hours away. We are centrally located to a LOT of fun places.
We do have an inflatable hot tub in the common area for use. We also have two fire pits and a BBQ grill in the common area that are available. If you want to use the hot tub just let me know when you book because it can take 24 hours to get the water up to temperature! It is chlorinated.
We have a common area/garden where you can sit with a beer or watch the sunrise with coffee. For hot afternoons we have misters on the sun shade so you can cool off after a day of hiking, exploring or wine tasting.
Keep in mind that the price reflects the amenities here. We are in wine country and charging $40/night. A room out here is no less than $200/night and there are other hipcamps in the area between $60-$160/night. This is for the camper that doesn't need or want amenities. It's undeveloped land. You can explore the property and camp where you want. We limit the number of campers so you can enjoy the property with peach and solitude. We do not developed/maintained campsites. If they were, I would charge more. This also means that to get a good site you should get here before sunset. Campers who try to set up in the dark (it is very dark out here) usually wake up disappointed.
We have just installed a solar shower! The temperature of the water depends on how much sun we get that day so early morning showers will be colder. Check the temperature of the water before stepping under because it can get very hot or cold! Also realize the hot water is limited and it will take a couple hours before it will heat up again between showers.

If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
Marcella was an amazing communicator and was quick to answer any questions I had, she even sent photos of shaded areas on the property upon request!!!!! I was impressed at how Marcella readily went above and beyond to accommodate me.
Oh my goodness, baby goats!!!!!! Way too cute, and rather friendly too!
Had a wonderful time here. Marcella was so nice, spending time with us and introducing us to her goats and chickens! We had no problems finding their driveway...just drive slow and you can’t miss the black mailbox with the address on the pole. We would go back again! Thank you Marcella and David!!!
Marcella & David were very accommodating. We only got to spend a night at the pepper farm, but it treated us to a gorgeous sunset and a starry night sky. The goats are hilarious!
We had a great time! The jacuzzi during sunset is pretty incredible and the communication with Marcella was a breeze. We were the only guests during our stay so it was a very private experience which was an added bonus. Thank you for sharing your lovely space with us.
Totally amazing place. The view is so spectacular. Sitting in the hot tub and watching the sunset was one of the best experiences of my life. I stayed in that tub for so long watching the stars. JUST WOW.
I was here Friday night and left Sunday morning. It was a nice, quite place. We kept most to ourselves the whole time but the view was beautiful. Good place to have random small hikes.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by our host Marcella, she gave us a tour of the property. We fed baby goats and got to see the chickens. One chicken in particular really enjoys being held and petted, so we spent some time showering him with love and attention.
There was a hot tub that Marcella told us we could sit in to watch sunset later, so we made sure to do that. The sunset is incredible over the valley.
The bathroom is a tent behind the chicken coop which is a five gallon bucket with a toilet lid and inside its an eco friendly composting bag with chemicals and once you leave camp, you pour the chemicals in it and throw it in the dumpster. The shower is super cool, it is built inside an old greenhouse. Very cool. It's solar heated, so you should plan to take your shower in the afternoon or so when it's warm out.
We cooked dinner on the back patio and had mixed veggies and we set up camp a little further out on the property. The view from the tent was lovely, you could see out for miles and miles and the next morning we got to see hot air balloons out in the sky.
We had a great time at Marcella and David's! The hot tub was definitely a highlight- the view of the sunset over the mountains from the tub was incredible. Additionally, our hosts were very communicative and helpful, responding quickly to our messages and assisting us with whatever we needed. The only thing I would tell someone thinking of camping here is that it does feel very wide open- while there is a lot of space to set up camp, there is very little tree coverage so it doesn't exactly feel secluded. That said, for the price, and considering the amenities that were available and the natural beauty of the surroundings, we were very pleased with this campsite!
