We had a great time camping at Bo’s! Awesome hosts who took great care of us and were super friendly. We spent our evenings exploring the property (nice views!) and hanging out by their fire pit/grilling. Only a few minute drive to Groveland and close to Yosemite. Would definitely recommend!
Swimming in stars!
Our stay was great, the trees, the views, the space all enhanced our stay. We had a great time around a group fire pit, lots of laughs and conversation. Late, it was all quiet, only stars and a breeze. Our hosts were great! They met us right on time, guided us a short drive to the camp. They went out of their way to help us enjoy the area with some local spots they shared. Be comfortable with pack it in pack it out camping and you will love this place.
No fuss, private, great view
Had a great time! Beautiful view. Nice host and respectful campers spaced far enough away that i felt like I had good privacy and couldn't hear them.
This is dry camping in bear country, so remember to bring a bear canister for your food and keep it AWAY from your tent. Cook your food away from your sleeping area as well.
I have sprint and had decent cell service on top of the hill in the very back part of the property.
The communal bonfire was a nice touch! (Social distancing of course!)
I was camping so i could go to yosemite, which was about 30 minutes to the entrance but about an hour from the valley. I went into the park early every day so i didn't have any issues with a line/ traffic.
Overall, i was very pleased with the spot! The shower was a nice touch and definitely refreshing after a long day of hiking.
Get the vista spot if you can! Exposed to sun so best used enjoying the sunset and early in the AM before the heat hits but it’s a large spot and very secluded. Bummer on no campfires, but host has a bonfire every night you’re welcome to join. My pup and I loved our stay and would reccomend!
Best father's day trip by far
Jarrett was a great host during our stay. He was quick to respond when we inquired about site availability, and he kept in contact prior to our arrival. He even told us about some great spots to check out during our stay. Darryn greeted us when we arrived; he was welcoming and showed us around the site, giving great recommendations on where to set up camp.
The place itself is beautiful! We chose to set up camp on the hilltop right next to an excavator with a hammock attached to it! The excavator was a treat for my toddler, and my husband enjoyed relaxing on the hammock. It wasn't too cold at night, and it was nice and warm during the day. The openness of the area made for great privacy between sites, since the campers got to pick where to set camp. There was almost no light pollution, and the night sky was so clear, we got to see a couple of shooting stars!
There is a communal firepit, and we were able to meet some of the other campers. An opportunity we would have missed at a larger campground.
At the time of our stay, therewas no shower or bathroom, but it didn't bother me one bit. Barely a sacrifice to stay in such an incredible place!
Definitely thinking about coming back again, and have been recommending the place to friends and family.
Thank you for making my husband's Father's Day weekend one for the books!
Great location, view, and pups!
Jarrett was a great host! He had all the amenities we needed for camping comfortably and has great dogs too. Beautiful view on the property at our site and not too far from Yosemite where we were hiking. Thanks Jarrett!
