Your rental provides the entire cluster of three canvas tents plus a platform which can be used for an additional tent, yoga, or just hanging out. The sites are on the edge of a meadow, with amazing views of Mount Shasta framed by Aspens at the meadow’s outer edge. A seasonal stream is nearby.
Accommodations are three well appointed tents. The Shasta View is a large tent on a platform, with a king bed and accompanying bedroom furniture as well as a porch with a stunning view. The Mountain Bell has a queen bed with furniture and equally amazing views of Shasta behind the glorious meadow. The Forest Glen has two cots with mattresses, festively appointed. It doesn’t have a view, but does have the most shade which is welcome in the summer. In addition there are two portable cots that can be placed in any of the tents. Tent beds have clean linens and towels.
An outdoor kitchen and dining area provides a communal gathering and eating spot. The sink has solar-powered hot and cold filtered running water, a gas camping stove, a shaded picnic table, and a BBQ. There are 8 camping chairs and two hammocks.
A bath house with shower, sink and compost toilet provide the necessities. A pit toilet is also available as backup.
You may see families of quail, rabbits, and deer, You will likely see plenty of tree frogs. Hummingbirds and blue jays abound. Praying mantis are also fairly common. If you’re lucky, you may see the neighborhood mountain lion who keeps a distance, but has been spotted in the meadow and heard. Bears are around, but will definitely not come near (unless you keep food out!)
Children are welcome, but we would appreciate utmost care taken with the tents which are white and the linens and carpets — we don’t have access to vacuum cleaners unfortunately. In addition, out of concern for wildlife and allergic owners, we cannot allow pets on the property/at the camp. Absolutely no hunting/trapping/shooting or motorized recreation on the property.
