There's no need to pitch camp with our spacious, sun-drenched Yurt! Settle in, and relax on our beautiful 5.5 acre rustic farmstead, nestled in the cozy hills of Aromas, CA! We are just minutes away from Highway 101, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside. Our property features sweeping majestic views toward the coast of Monterey and down toward Big Sur. The land features walking trails up toward a beautiful oak grove at the ridge of the property, and down the other side into several acres of wilderness. We are located about 15 minutes from the ocean at Moss Landing, and 30 to 45 minutes away from Monterey, Pacific Grove, Carmel and Santa Cruz.
Our furnished private Yurt features fantastic picturesque views of the hillside and farm, as well as our budding food forest on the uphill side. The yurt features plenty of space, power, and seating for a party of four, a queen-sized bed, a comfy couch to spread out on, and an optional full airbed if you need extra sleeping accommodations. There is a propane heater available for chilly nights.
The yurt does not include kitchen facilities or refrigeration, but the site does also feature a large shared fire pit and grill, and a picnic table which can comfortably seat 4. We have a portable toilet for guest use, an outdoor sink with hot water, and a semi-enclosed “indoor/outdoor” shower with plenty of hot water and pressure, all a short walk from the yurt.
Whether you’re passing through on a road trip along California’s majestic landscape, or looking to spend some time getting to know the lush landscape of the Central Coast, we welcome you with open arms!

Romantic and comfortable getaway
The Yurt was really nice, very comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. Definitely puts the glam in glamping. I booked it for a romantic birthday weekend and would definitely go again. Travis is great, everything was nice and ready for us. They even have a spare set of headlamps so you can get around at night (though the Yurt itself has lights so you only need them to walk outside).
The firepit is really nice with an easy to use great for cooking and they've got pots and pans on-site. Make sure you bring dry goods or a cooler.
Really convenient location of 101, super fast to get to but far enough from the highway that you still feel like you're getting away. A lot of the activities you might care about are a 20-30 minute car ride. While there's a short trail on the property, you'll probably want to go somewhere during the day. If you just want to camp at night, hang around a campfire, and look at the stars then you don't to leave the property.
There's a few animals on the property. Highly recommend saying hi to Pie if you can (he's a 15 year old shepherd mix and incredibly sweet).
The bathroom is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but it's a campsite. It gets the job done but is true to a farm experience. There's both a composting toilet and a port-a-potty. I preferred to just go outdoors (there's enough privacy that you can) but it's there if you want it (or for more serious jobs).
The outdoor shower has great water temperature so you can actually take a hot shower after a long day of hiking. Bring flip flops if you want to use it and keep your feet clean.
Warm and inviting
This was our first time in a yurt, and it was a great experience. The place had all the accommodations we needed even with our 1 year old daughter. The yurt was warm and inviting. We would definitely stay here again.
Great place, great people~!
Lovely little parcel of land in the Aromas hills. The yurt was comfy and spacious enough to accommodate two adults, a toddler and two dogs. Our three year old had a great time dancing and playing with the tambourine~! Shower was nice and hot, steps away from the yurt. Picnic table for camp cooking was about fifteen yards down the slope. Location is great. We explored inland (San Juan Batista) and the coast (Monterey, Moss Landing, Santa Cruz).
Welcoming place to use as a base for exploring the beauty of the central coast of California. Thanks, Travis~!
Peaceful play and stay for baby
Terra Cultura is a beautiful little paradise! We loved our stay and could see all the amazing possibilities for what will be developed in the future. The yurt was awesome and well set up. We had everything we needed.
Tranquil yurt stay @terra cultura
Travis and Jessica are such great hosts! They were welcoming but also gave us plenty of space to enjoy our trip. The yurt was also really cool, with a pop-up window in the roof for ventilation during the warm part of the day and plenty of blankets (and a comfy bed!) and a heater (which we didn't end up using) for night time. Got some pretty good Mexican food in Aromas. Definitely hoping to return someday!
The outdoor, covered shower was great and indeed, the water was hot! We shared the campfire and everyone was so respectful of each others space and needs... they made our stay very comfortable even during the socially distant era! We even asked to stay another night as it was a great getaway.

Cozy as advertised
Nice folks, clean and comfy and well-appointed yurt, warm shower, nice fire pit and picnic table. The port-a-potty was the only toilet option for us, and it’s a bit of a hike from the yurt. The composting toilet is out of commish for COVID I assume. Also, the WiFi was a bit spotty when we tried to stream a movie. Really pretty good for “camping,” though! We had a lovely day trip down the coast to Carmel and Big Sur. Would definitely do it again!
The yurt was incredible - spacious and cozy, and the location had amazing views. Travis and Jessica took care of small details like giving us extra headlamps, firewood, and leaving buckets of water by the fire. I'd return in a heartbeat.
