Enjoy the mountain views and sunset from our "hostel style" shared covered patio, use the outdoor fridge, BBQ, utensils, and table for a meal, play some games, read a book in a hammock, watch the sunset, plan your next adventure, and....hot tub coming soon! :) We also offer a complimentary power breakfast with coffee and tea that is included with your stay to get you off on the right foot for your daily adventure. Bring your mat!- yoga, meditation, and fitness classes available for sign up in the evening.
** We also have an extra room in the house for a nightly rent by request if anyone in the group would like to stay indoors. Please send us a message if interested and we are happy to provide more details. **

Golden Ball Zen Mountain Retreat, just 15 minutes outside of the Yosemite south gate entrance, is an awesome place to stay. The setting is so relaxing and beautiful. The hosts Angela and Jason are so welcoming and accommodating that they make you feel right at home. While we were camping in tents, it felt more like glamping. The stay totally exceeded our expectations.
There were so many amenities included besides having the entire camping area to ourselves. We get to use part of the hosts’ two-yea-new home, including the guest bathroom and hot shower. There is a huge covered patio (maybe 9’x40’?) attached to the house that overlooks the campsite below. The dawn/dusk view from the patio is just amazing. I wish I had better photos to show you.
At the patio, we have the use of a refrigerator to ourselves, as well as table and chairs where we had our meals. Breakfast (cereal, fruits, yogurt), almond milk, coffee, tea, paper plates, and basic dinning utensils are included. We didn’t cook, but used their microwave in the kitchen to reheat our food. We didn’t use the brand new BBQ grill, either.
The campsite is flat and huge. There is a sunshade awning, and a fire ring, where we sat around listening to music at night. We have 5 campers/tents, and we can easily double that without feeling crowded.
Overall, it’s great value. Highly recommend!!!
Good location and amenities. The rolling hills make for a stunning sunset backdrop! The hosts were very welcoming and remained concerned that my stay was pleasant.
Good place to stay for a Yosemite trip (note: Yosemite Village is 1.5-hrs away, but the Yosemite southern gate is 20-min away and has trails nearby)
This was a perfect stay for our purposes! About 1:40 from Yosemite valley. ~5 minutes outside of town. Angela was very kind and inviting - the porch is a common space and has a killer view especially at sunset.
Angela was a gracious host and the campsite was great. The shared deck space offers amazing views and even came with a few snacks and bottled watter.
