Clean and had a good time!
My boyfriend and I wanted to camp in Joshua tree but all camping sites were taken. luckily, we found Amys land on this app and Amy was a very friendly host. It was an easy drive to her property. Once you park your car at the gate; there was a few camping spots to choose from. Everything was good, clean and quiet. There was no bench or table but we didn’t need that .
There was a star gazing area with a pallet of pillows and blankets that was an awesome thing!
Definitely would stay again!!!
Jackrabbit Camper Ranch is a lovely little oasis and Amy was such a wonderful host! Our campsite was spacious and cozy, with incredible views to watch both the sunrise and sunset. Will definitely be back!
Thus place is great! We were hoping to find a first come first serve campsite but it was full so we were glad to be able to book a place so quickly on hipcamp. The site had a lot of privacy and was spacious. The portable outhouse and showers were a plus. This place is about 20 min from Joshua tree. Amy was a wonferful host!
Perfect base for j. tree excursions
Jackrabbit Ranch is a cool, little spot to camp and use as a home base while making excursions into J. Tree. The various sites were spread out more than most campsites in the park, and the raked tent spots were convenient. The only thing I'd mention for folks to be aware of is that you should bring a small table with you if you think you'll need it! We got on just fine without one, but if we stayed again we'd bring it just to put our camp stove on. Amy, the host, was great and gave us some great tips for coffee/baked goods/how to avoid crowds entering the park.
The campground had everything we needed and more! The stargazing at the ranch is incredible and downtown is a short drive away. Having access to an outdoor shower was also an amazing bonus. Amy was very welcoming and gave us an amazing dinner recommendation as well! All around cannot wait for another opportunity to stay at the ranch!
Amy was an amazing host. Super friendly, helpful and everything was well taken care of. They had a great stargazing platform and a clean porta-potty! I would definitely recommend this little gem!
12/10 would recommend!!
If you're looking for an amazing campsite near Joshua Tree, then look no further. Jackrabbit Ranch is absolutely amazing!! The land is private and very well kept, the campsites are very separated and set up nicely, and the host is a gem of a human! She has a stargazing platform where you can gaze at the amazing Joshua Tree skies in the evenings and even do yoga in the daylight! Plus there's an outdoor shower and an incredibly clean bathroom facility. Amy will also give you recommendations in case you're not sure where to go. This place was a dream and we're absolutely looking forward to going back as soon as possible!
Pretty much perfect. J Tree was completely full and a ranger recommended hip camp to us, and this site ended up being perfect. Simple, inexpensive, close to the park, and happened to be available immediately. Amy is super nice and helpful, literally washed my panties with her laundry and returned them to our site (I lost them at the outdoor shower which is a completely amazing experience, by the way). Couldn't be happier with our stay.
