From the tent campsite, you look out for 20 miles and see nothing but nature across small mountains and canyons all the way to the peaks of Angeles National Forest in the distance. At our ranch house, we have friendly small goats you can visit if interested. The campsite is a large flat area with some planks of wood and an old speed boat piled around (along with California juniper trees, wild quail and oaks). If you have a trailer or RV it's a great place to park and the view is towards wide open spaces. With a tent or if you want more pure nature, you can drive out onto the property further towards the small ruin of the old homesteader's cabin or beyond. The property has a long-abandoned gold mine and circular arrastres where miners used mules to break up rocks. Nearby Acton has pick-your-own apples/pears/peaches at Bloom farms. We are at 3000 feet, so we are a blend of high-desert and cool mountains. At our ranch house, we have friendly small goats you can visit if interested.

Allen was a great host! He was communicative, accommodating, & friendly. Upon our arrival he helped guide us to our site. We had a beautiful private view of the valley & access to some quick hiking trails Later that evening Sara introduced us to some of her kids aka the goats :) Would definitely recommend & stay again!

Overall fantastic stay! The site was just as described. Very private with many different places to choose to actually camp. I brought a 19’ trailer and had no issues at all getting to the site and finding a great spot to park with excellent views. Trails all around for hiking and exploring. So close to LA which makes getting away from the lights of the city so easy. I will be back.
Amazing host, great location, coming again next year!

Thank you. Looking forward to your return, Alexey.
The site was beautiful! The main site is super accessible and easy to find, but if you have a 4x4 you can follow the dirt trail out a mile or two into the hills and find a nice spot. We had a 4x4, so we drove out a little ways past the site and found a nice secluded spot that was private and serene. Allen was very accommodating and let us check in early while giving us the privacy we were looking for. I would highly recommend this site to anyone looking for a nice respite from the city without having to travel too far outside of its borders. We had a great time!
Enjoyed staying at Allen’s place...great remote property at the edge of the desert and mountains. Campsite is definitely primitive, with only a picnic table and water source (no toilet or outhouse) but it has great views and a nice opportunity to wander into nature a bit...even got to see the goats! It can get cold up there in Fall so bring warm gear!

This was my first solo camping experience and it was everything I was hoping for. There were so many camping spots to choose from, I picked a spot more remote so that I could see the beautiful mountain views. The night was very windy, which made both setting up my tent solo and sleeping challenging, but that’s camping on a mountain top! It was worth it because in the morning I hiked up the ridge, just about 15 minutes from my camping spot and I could see EVERYTHING, it was breathtaking and I’ll definitely be back! This was the perfect nature sanctuary for me, and Allen was Lovely and the goats were adorable.
Another plus was that I was able to instant book the night before and it was only an hour north from Mid-City LA.

Had a great night here. Beautiful scenery and lots of hiking.
Great spot. Nice view and cool land to explore, plus they have some super chill goats! My only issue is that there’s some scrap wood all around the campsite that can make backing out a bit rough, unless your a pro. Overall enjoyable stay! Super quiet and pretty view of the stars at night.

Great having you here, Danielle. I have updated the listing to give instructions about how to pull through a trailer so no turn-around is needed. Also, we are in the process of clearing out the area even more, so it will be much clearer in near future. The goats welcome your return anytime. All the best -- Allen
