Tucked away up a short trail lies a lightweight open-air cabin structure made of salvaged redwood, screens, clear plastic roofing, and canvas curtains. Energy                                                                                                                                  An escape from electricity, the internet and telephone service. Using a minimilistic approach with only small solar lighting, propane stoves and fire. Practicing simple eco-sustainable and environmentally friendly living techniques

Food                                                                                                                                There is an outdoor open kitchen available for the local community as well as visitors with a stove, sink, dishes etc... There is an organic vegetable garden, goats chickens, bees and fruit trees 

Water                                                                                                                                  Water is spring fed and also available filtered 

Fire                                                                                                                                         There are 2 communal fire-pits with grills for cooking 

Facilities                                                                                                                    Structures on the land are generally lightweight and built to blend in with the natural character of the land. There are outdoor composting poopers set up with sawdust and barrels, and there is a flushing toilet with an old septic tank that is mainly used for peeing

Kids                                                                                                                                        Kids are welcome with an accompanying adult 

Dogs                                                                                                                                Dogs are welcome off leash. If they attack chickens, goats, cats or other dogs it may be necessary to have them on leash or under strong verbal command. Bury dog poop with a stick or shovel or cover it with dirt and grass. Do not put a plastic bag of dog poop in the garbage

Environment                                                                                                                Striving to create a minimal impact with a respect and awareness of this wild and natural area

Garbage                                                                                                                         Please be mindful of the amount of waste products you bring into this natural area. If you bring it in to the forest please take it away when you leave. There are containers to separate recyclables

Alcohol                                                                                                                                Alcohol and electronic music devices are discouraged. Not intended as a place to party or get drunk. A casual drink is okay

The place is unique and amazing. Ohji even provided us blanket and clean sheets on arrival. Ohji’s family are so friendly, they greeted us very warmly once we arrived.

Such a wonderful little haven right in the middle of that wild California land, where the ocean meets the mountains. The hosts were lovely, and the beach is just a short walk away. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Incredible property with so much soul!!
Right next to the ocean, the creek runs right through the property there is so much to explore.
Ohji, Bri & Umi are very talented craftspeople with a true love for the land & community! So grateful to find this gem. I will be back!

Everything was magical! We made friends, had a fire with the other campers, and watched the sunset from the beach. And the cat was so sweet! We wished we stayed longer. Best part of our trip by far.

Great little spot in Big Sur! Highlights included watching the sunset on the beach, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, and hanging out with the dogs and cat! Highly recommend!

This is an amazing place to stay. I highly recommend anyone looking for a unique experience to stay with Ohji and his partner. They are living and very authentic life, and it feels good to experience it.
