This is such a beautiful spot and the Host, Jo-Anne is amazing. Jo-Anne reached out the week before to update me on some poor weather that was potentially coming through, and ensure I had detailed directions.
She is an attentive host, sharing hiking trails/places of interest, and the history of their time on their land yet not at all intrusive and allows privacy. She gave me a gift of a loaf of homemade bread that was so delicious and made THE BEST toast, such a treat!
The spot itself was large, very private and quiet. Clean outhouse close by as well. TONS of birds of all sorts ( little robin nesting in the willows right by camp that I watched add to her nest), frogs at night, and the star gazing is breathtaking. I felt completely safe as a solo camper.
The drive is quite beautiful, the road was completely fine, tho narrow at points, if you drive to the conditions in daylight it’s completely manageable.
An absolute must is the hike to the lake. A lovely hike through the woods on well worn trails that opens to this incredible meadow with a storybook lake. Ducks and Geese with their babies and so much to explore.
Such a special place, thank you for sharing it. I look forward to returning in the future :)

Another beautiful stay here! The stargazing was amazing. Nice private place to camp and hike with the dogs and escape the busy city life. Beautiful place to stay in the fall. The 10 year old appreciated the games that are available. JoAnne was amazing as always ❤️ can't wait until next time!

I loved camping at Jo and Marshall's ranch with my two cats.
The views are 360 degrees and you can't out a price on the peacefulness. The star gazing is out of this world :)
Jo and Marshall were beyond helpful and I cannot wait to return.
Please follow their directions as I thought I could get there with Google and I did because they found me :)

Private, peaceful, perfection! Loved the easy adventurous drive out to the ranch and meeting Jo! The campsite is beautiful, we really enjoyed exploring the property with our dogs, relaxing in the creek and star gazing.

I loved it here! The hosts were super helpful and friendly. They gave us good instructions to hike to a secret lake that we had all to ourselves. They were great to accommodate my needy dogs that are not fans of other dogs by keeping hers in the fence which gave me a good piece of mind . Nice and close to kamloops. About an hour. Definitely want to come back often!

The two sites offered were very nice and well kept. The property and surrounding area was stunning, especially at sunrise/sunset! There were plenty of trails to explore, you could spend days just checking out the local area. JoAnne was very kind and helpful during my stay.
This was honestly my favorite part from my trip through Kamloops, I'd highly recommend it.

Very far from Kamloops. An hour 15 minutes over very rough road. Once I got there I liked it. Pretty sunset.

Had a great stay on this private site. Its quiet and peaceful. actually had a better sleep here. Would definitely come back to catch a glimpse of those wild horses.

We had a wonderful stay at this peaceful and private campsite. JoAnn was amazing and provided us with directions to several nearby lakes and delivered us some farm fresh eggs. Highly recommend taking the back roads to Steelhead Lake which is a provincial park that had an excellent swimming beach. We were also able to check out the property freely with our Jeep, there was so much to explore.
The creek is quite low this time of year but still provided a welcome relief for our dogs looking to cool off. Please remember to bring a Thermacell and lots of bug spray as the mosquitos were pretty wild this close to the creek. Although there are some trees/shady spots, bringing a shade tent or tarp to string up is also recommended!
We will return, I think this would be a great place for a small group of friends or a family as well. Having lots of space and privacy is not an issue here!

JoAnne and Marshall's ranch was such a peaceful respite! JoAnne thought of every little detail to make our stay a true getaway in paradise, from sharing their farm fresh eggs for breaky to lounge chairs in the shady creekside to soak in the afternoon views! Magical memories :) We hope to see you again very soon!

I will am so glad I didn’t let a little fireroad length deter me from exploring this truly magical place. JoAnne was an absolute sweetheart and so knowledgeable about the land, the apothecaries and she can tell you all about the tragic fire that took away much of the area and is flourishing to come back. She will provide a guided tour if requested, I took one along with her husband and it was breathtaking - filled with flowering fields, swimming holes and we searched for the wild horses in the area (though Im sure the scent of my dog might have thrown them off). I highly recommend coming here for a long weekend and staying 2 nights. There is so much beauty to enjoy here and JoAnne has you covered on amenities. Excited to see this expand and the wonderful plans they have in store!

The place was just breathtaking, we were at peace and relaxed, as we felt alone surrounded by nature. JoAnne and Marshall were so welcoming and nice, we are still so stunned by their story and how they overcame it.

What an absolute magical experience. We are inexperienced campers and this was our first time camping with our little one. She loved every minute of it. There were grasshoppers everywhere and a little creek. (It's been hot, so it wasn't as full as we'd hoped, but my little one still enjoyed the muddy shore). The night sky is worth the drive up. It feels as though you could reach up and touch the stars, and absolute surreal experience. The echos that could be heard throughout the night were really cool. We were awaken by a small heard of cows grazing near by and some of them even found there way to our side of the creek. My kid loved it. Creekside has been through a lot over the last few years and it was a nice touch to learn a little bit about the land and the owners.
