While the hosts were kind and we felt safe, we were looking for more of a nature experience. We booked this based on pictures and reviews that made it seem like a large piece of land with a creek, what we got was a backyard of a small house directly off a highway. Not exactly a camping experience- it felt like how kids would pitch a tent in someone’s backyard for a sleepover. If you’re just looking for place to pitch a tent and have a fire in the pit, this would be great for you. But if you’re looking for nature, seclusion, hiking, fishing, or any activities- look elsewhere!
Nona and Dewhitt were super helpful and making sure i got settled in and had everything I needed. Camp Geneva was conveniently located to Hot Springs
My stay was amazing! They both were super helpful, met us as the campsite to greet and show us around, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Even more, they had great recommendations for some local hikes/things to do/places to go! I would definitely stay here again.
Nona and her husband were super welcoming! Offered local tips, made extra sure I was comfortable and made sure I knew I could contact them if I needed anything. Loved making a fire in their fire pit! They hav seating available and a hammock too! I would say the only drawback, a very minor one that didn’t bother me, was the street noise. Not awful, esp at night, but noticeable. Would definitely stay again!
Was not expecting it to be a backyard but everything was very nice and the owners and their neighbor were very nice and helpful
After reading the reviews, I knew this site was a backyard and not off in some remote location. Knowing this I chose it because it was close to Hot Springs. I only planned on staying 2 nights. Nona and her husband were as accommodating as written about in the reviews. Very nice people who truly cared about your experience at their well maintained property. After 2 days we realized we only scratched the surface of the Hot Springs area and wound up staying a week! So much to do and the camp was such a perfect location!
