Absolutly wonderful experience. Horses visited us. I'm not sure what more one could want from a camping experience. The creek area is beautiful and filled with vibrenly colored dragonflys.
I do recommend fly traps and swatters. It is unreal how many flys are there.
We loved this place! Definitely exceeded our expectations. Were only here for a short evening and sad we couldn't stay longer and explore more. We were given our space, there were friendly farm animals around, and the land was quite large. Also no mosquitos was a pleasant surprise. The only minor problem being that the nature around here is LOUD. Bugs, frogs etc. Didn't at all bother us because we are used to it. Would love to come back again.
What a great experience! Kelly was a wonderful host and made me feel welcome and at ease. She met me at the gate and led me to several spots that she suggested were the best places to camp at on her land. Her horses came right up to us and greeted me gently, and she even offered to bring water out to me. I was her first solo camper, but there is more than enough space for a much larger group to enjoy camping here. I would highly recommend this spot, it’s a perfect place to relax amongst nature. Heads up - there is quite a bit of off-road driving on her property, but I was able to make it all the way in with my Civic so it’s still totally manageable in most vehicles with some caution.
Petting dogs included!
Kathy was a very kind lady who was so helpful! We got there a bit late having had come 8 hours away but she was understanding! The best part was there were so many dogs!♥️ One border collie mix kept guard of us all night. I felt so safe and peaceful it was a well needed trip!
Off the grid perfection!
This was everything we hoped it would be. The property is HUGE. It's impossible to get pics to do it justice. Rolling hills and green fields, some woods to explore, and a creek to cool off in. When you first set up camp, the horses come say hello and see what you're doing, which is surreal. Don't worry they're super friendly! Our dogs had the time of their lives too. We were so sad when it was time to leave. We're definitely gonna come back again when we need to get away.
Kelly is a great host as well. Friendly and helpful and quick to respond. Thanks for everything Kelly! We're definitely gonna be back. Pet Sam for me!
Really nice property. I stayed here just for one night on a road trip and it was a nice stay. We were able to hang with and pet horses, which was a really nice experience. I was able to get here with ease in a Honda civic. These horses are really friendly- perhaps even too friendly. They sniffed around and hung around my tent for much of the night, which was a bit unsettling, having large animals above me when in a vulnerable position in the tent. However, they left eventually and I was able to sleep. The host made sure they were out of the way in the morning. Overall, a worthwhile stay.
