Horses can be accommodated on property for extra fee. Thunder Canyon Falls, Hemmed In Hollow nearby as well. Convenience Store, JJs Bar and Grill, and Dollar General 8 miles away. Remote location provides for a peaceful stay with 360 degree views!Campground sits on 110 acre farm with mountain view and incredible stargazing. Only a few miles from the Buffalo national river (Erbie) and some of the best hiking trails in Arkansas. Water and Electric on 3 sites and tent camping at 2 sites. Bathroom and shower on site. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit/grill. Hiking, Waterfalls, Canoeing, Swimming, Caving and Horse Trails Within 5 miles. Parker-Hickman homestead, Thunder Canyon Falls, Hemmed In Hollow nearby as well. Convenience Store, JJs Bar and Grill, and Dollar General 8 miles away.

Down Home Campground

Recommend

A very nice, responsive host. The road to get to camp is rough, but the campsite is worth it. It’s near a lot of fun Buffalo river crossings. The bathroom at the campsite is super clean and up to date. It’s also a great area for stargazing!

Down Home Campground

We really enjoyed our stay. It was such a peaceful and serene environment. Loved the rolling hillside, beautiful land, and close access to creek that flows from the Buffalo River. The campground was small and perfect to get away from the world. The bathroom/ shower we’re clean and nice to have. Thank you again Brady for sharing a slice of your land for our family to share. You were so kind and helpful!

Down Home Campground

Amazing find - MUST STAY!

We stayed in a few camp sites before this one and this was by far our favourite. A beautiful, off the beaten track location with an amazing view. Brady came to greet us and deliver some free firewood. The creek is a short drive/ fine walk away. The toilet/shower facilities were the cleanest I’ve seen and bug free. Amazing sunset and stars, would definitely come back!

Down Home Campground

Noisy campers, but very pretty.

Overall it was in a really cool area, super far out on private land. The host was very nice and even gave us firewood. He made several accommodations for us. The only downside is that there isn’t very many spots all together. It was still very nice, but at night it was hard to sleep because of the other campers around us that stayed up talking til 1am and started yelling around 6am. If you are looking for somewhere a lot more private than I suggest somewhere else, but overall it was still pretty nice. Very pretty view in the morning as well.
