That's right..Roosters! This site comes with built in alarm clock set for sunrise. You will not sleep in! Well, if you use earplugs or are a heavy sleeper, you might manage to snooze through the morning crow from the nearby chicken coop. But there is also the potential for highway noise. Maybe that'll wake you up. No? You don't care, you say? Well, then let's get to

Enjoy the rural lake lifestyle with a full hookup site; 30A 120V RV, water, and septic. This open and flat meadow is nearly surrounded by trees, has a nice view of the pond, and trail access to the lake. Firewood is already stacked near a stone fire ring offered at sliding scale price. This site is perfect to use as base camp and explore the many nearby attractions. It's also a great site for the boating and fishing enthusiast, with public boat ramps less than 2 miles away. Wake up before dawn and head out for fishing or adventure and shame the roosters! Otherwise put some ear plugs in and wait for 10:30 a.m. when the chickens and even the highway quiet down.
Please note, chicken coop is 130 feet away. The number of roosters varies, typically 5, but the hens might make noise too. Some of the earliest reviews for this site are from when my flock could be counted on one hand. How often the roosters crow depends on their mood, age, and weather.

You may access Bennett Cove trail and hike to the lake. If lake level is low enough, you can travel quite far along shoreline.
Red shouldered hawk, songbirds, turtles, rabbits, deer are common. Fox, eagle, and owl more of a challenge.
Natural features you'll find at Rooster RV in Arkansas.
Property has mixed/young forest. Lake area is old forest.
RV site is within small, flat meadow that is nearly surrounded by trees. There is another meadow just below with a small pond.
I breed and raise chickens.

Great stay, great site, great host!
What a great site, it’s huge area. Nice view of the pond. Is actually recessed in a little valley. Super quiet and being in that valley knocks down and wind or sound! Would definitely stay again. Water hook up and dump at the site!! I couldn’t believe that. Nice shower and bathroom in the main house. With private entrance. Very nice a little hidden gem! We will be back! We stayed 7 days and wished we had more!
We really enjoyed our stay. Being able to walk to the lake was wonderful after a long hot day! We were surprised at how loud the traffic from the road was however it quieted down at night and we didn't notice it at all while sleeping.
Awesome and secluded
Awesome location. Host very hospitable. We set up tent in the field next to campfire, close to read, can hear road noise, but didnt bother us and their is further areas to camp back nesr the water and quieter. Also, walking distance to a primitive native american camp and to lake greeson with beautidul sunset views. We enjoyed our stay and have no complaints. Def thought it was a better option than a crowded campground. Recommend 100%
Had a lovely stay at Bluegill Hill, the property was beautiful, especially the lake which was perfect to swim in. Charles was a wonderful host. We were passing through during the COVID pandemic and he was very respectful of space and simultaneously very accommodating of everything we needed. Great spot--should have stayed longer!
Rooster RV is a gorgeous meadow with a short walk to your own lake beach! Yes there were roosters, but we didn’t hear them over our fan. And there was highway noise but it’s worth it and so much better than a crowded campground. The night view of the stars was mesmerizing. Loved the full hookups! Charles had firewood available at the site—even different kinds for if you wanted to barbecue! Loved this site and hope to come back soon. It’s so close to so many beautiful places!
Wonderful camping getaway!
We spent Labor Day weekend w/ family at this site & loved it! It accommodated our 37’ Class A RV, 28’ pull-behind camper, several tents (for the kids), plus our 5 vehicles. There is only 1 electrical, water & sewer hook-up that the pull-behind camper utilized (our RV is fully self-contained).
All together we had a group of 15 & enjoyed our experience here. It was clean, well maintained & private. There are 2 trails that you can walk to access Lake Greeson; One is for Bennet Cove & the other is for Kiddie Cove...both have nice swim areas. There is also access to a small pond (right next to campsite) for fishing. The site is close to several state recreational areas, as well for swimming, fishing, boating, etc.
Our camp host, Charles was friendly & amazing at providing info./directions, fire wood, trash bags, etc. & was courteous at checking in w/ us from time to time to make sure our needs were met.
We highly recommend this place & plan to make it a regular camp trip for our family!
Nice camp and great host.
Charles was awesome, very accommodating. I am solo traveling and stayed at his other campsite ‘Fox Nook’, just for a night. Charles raises chickens. Many roosters crowing in the morning, but I personally enjoyed hearing them. Short little walk to a beautiful lake. The bathroom is primitive. I was looking for a nice little campsite for the night and I found it.
