Located at the southern foothills of the Ouachita Mountains and the northwestern edge of Lake Greeson, this 6 acre plot of land is part of a gentle hillside that descends into the lake.  Enjoy two trails to Lake Greeson and easily access nearby boat launches, public beaches, parks, and much more!  Come make yourself at home on Bluegill Hill and enjoy the small lake village lifestyle!Enjoy seclusion in a forested nook at the bottom of Bluegill Hill, at Lake Greeson in SW Arkansas.  Fox Nook is a primitive campsite that offers total privacy and lots of shade within a young forest of mostly oak and pine trees.  There's plenty of space that comes with booking a stay at Fox Nook, so that offers you a few choices on where to set up. All of the following are part of your booking, so choose one or all! Fox Nook is the main attraction, has small yard table, bbq pit, and fire ring. However, there is also a tiny spot just uphill to Fox Nook with leveled ground that will accommodate a small tent. Then there is the small ridge area about 20 yards above Fox Nook. It's part of the road in and is a loop, so it's great for trailers over 12' or any larger setup than what can fit in Fox Nook. So yeah, plenty of options for you, all part of your booking! It's a perfect part of Bluegill Hill to accommodate a campsite and I think you're going to love it! There are two hiking trails that lead to the lake and both require only a few minutes of walking.  Kitty Cove trail is the shortest walk, about 2 or 3 minutes, and leads to a secluded cove with two islands.  Bennett Cove trail takes about 4 minutes to walk and joins into a road from a small neighborhood of vacation cabins (and very few full-time residents), so it is possible that this area might have a few friendly folks enjoying the lake.  It is a great area to swim and sunbathe on the shale shoreline. After a short distance on these trails, you will be leaving Bluegill Hill's private property and entering public land that surrounds the lake.  A large buffer of land along shoreline, and the lake, is overseen by the Army Corps of Engineers.  It's all open to the public, but this area of the lake sees very little traffic and remains a hidden gem.      At dawn, nature wakes up and the songbirds sing, occasionally crows visit, and I also have chickens at the top of the hill.  The roosters have a powerful voice but the ridge above the campsite and the trees do a great job of deflecting and muffling the sound.  The most unnatural sound will be from the occasional semi-truck traveling along the highway.  It's a small highway, not a main thoroughfare, and they rarely transport on weekends.  All areas along the northern edge of Lake Greeson are close to the highway, luckily Fox Nook is one that is tucked pretty well into the forest but it's not immune to the sound of the occasional weekday semi-truck.  By 10 a.m. the breeze picks up from the south and helps push back any highway noise. *My canoe is NOT avsilable* *My outdoor chairs are temporarily unavailable* *Price for firewood is based on what you think is fair, how much you use, and/or can afford. Suggested minimim price $5/bundle. Further info is available at campsite, such as Venmo and Paypal, as well as a small box for cash.* Booking price already includes all applicable taxes for state sales and local tourism.  Thank you for visiting Arkansas, the Natural State!

Fox Nook Review
The campground was quite cozy. Nice fire pit, nice waterfront, and a couple level tent pads in safe areas. Nobody in our group needed to use any bathrooms beyond simplicity, but we did see them nearby. Charles is plenty friendly and inviting, and his written instructions helped us find the camp with ease. Not too many hiking trails, so maybe don’t plan for that to be a main activity, although all the nearby areas are very peaceful and worth stopping by to check out.

Quiet and comfortable!
I loved the campground! It was quiet and also easily accessible. I loved that the tent spot was already level and could fit our car which has a roof tent. Would visit again!
