Our family had such a beautiful time and our host was most generous when my youngest child was afraid to stay in the tent so she offered for us to stay in one of her cottages at no extra charge.
We spent the 1St day in Oatman and then went on a short hike this morning.
De wanted to stay at Yaqui offgrid for one night as a stopover in our way to Grand Canyon. Sadly there is no address for this site and Google does not know it as well.
After some help of the Host we found the right direction, but the roards were getting worse and worse. First it was gravel roads then it turned more into rocky pathes and in the end we simply had to give up as our RV could't handle this very Bad way.
The Host was telling us that normally People have no Problem in finding the spot and have no Problem with the roads, but i honestly cannot believe that. Maybe with a 4x4 jeep but definetly not with an RV.
We then stopped at a campground right around the corner with a very friendly host but nevertheless paid double for this Night.
I cannot say anything about the site es we could't make it there, but i cannot recommend it until the roads are fixed.
My cousin and I camped here for one night on our way to Havasupai. We were the only ones camping that night and Tammy was super friendly and welcoming. She also provided us with a charcoal grill to cook our dinner on. The campsite area was well kept and the mountains nearby were really picturesque, especially during the sunset.
The only issue we ran into was the unpaved roads getting to the property. Once you leave the main highway the last couple of miles are unpaved. We were driving in a Hyundai Accent and scraped on some of the rocks along the last little stretch of the drive. If you're driving a lower clearance vehicle, also be sure to follow Tammy's instructions carefully - we took a wrong turn and ended up on a very rocky road. Her directions will bring you on the sections of roads that are the least bumpy.
Overall, it was a great place to stay and at a really great price!
Site was great . Views were fantastic to wake up to . The directions was spot on from her , as to where the GPS failed , Tammy came through . Would recommend for a nice off grid camping experience .
