The vibe at The Pearl
We really enjoyed this stay, even though it was just a quick overnight stop! Poppi and her family warmly welcomed us on our arrival, showed us around, and were extremely considerate of whether we were wanting to be social or needed privacy. They invited us to join their bonfire but made it clear that they understood we'd had a long drive, might be tired or just not up to it, and not to feel obligated (we did join them and we really enjoyed getting to know the family). There is a lot of space on their property, surrounded by trees, and while their house is in view in the distance, the spot we parked our little campervan in was secluded and quiet. We rested well and comfortably and had to be on our way the next morning, but wished we had more time to just chill out there. These are the kind of people travelers want to meet: welcoming, considerate, kind, and easy to talk to. We had a great time here!

I enjoyed my stay at Poppi's Pearl - our host, Poppi and her husband were so kind and fun to chat with.
I slept in my car that night, was able to sit up and watch the stars - there is such a clear view of the sky here!
There is a bonfire pit for having a bonfire (if there isn't a fire ban that is) and the bathroom available for us campers is SO NICE. It's got a shower + toilet - very clean!
There are some rocky cliffs on the edge of the property that Poppi said her son likes to climb down to the creek below, but we didn't climb down.
The next morning, the sun shone through the trees and it was just magical, we had tea as we walked through the woods and enjoyed the scenery

The Pearl is a great place to stop for the night with your tent and sleeping bag! The bathroom provided is very clean and has everything you need to feel refreshed after a day of travel or prior to the start of the next day's journey.
Pinetop is only a few minutes drive where you can find good eats for the evening or a fresh cup of coffee in the morning.
The hosts are so gracious and welcoming! Poppi and family have done a great job creating a lovely place for campers wanting to simply enjoy nature while also being close to the conveniences of town!
Poppi and her family are great hosts!
We spent one night in our campervan between the trees on their wonderful and quiet property. Poppi even provided WiFi and prepared some candies for us in the bathroom.
We can definitely recommend a stay there!

This is a great little get away. Super nice setting and Poppi and her family couldn’t have been nicer...Thanks!! We will definitely be back. Great bathroom/shower.
Poppi's place is a fantastic mountain getaway. Plenty of pines and a really-cool boulder-edged creek. She was super-hospitable and provided a private-access bathroom complete with towels and other toiletries. Her family was also really nice and made the dog and me feel incredibly welcome. The road was a bit tight for my pickup truck and 24-foot trailer with some pretty tight turns, so it's not a great option for larger RVs since there are quite a few large trees to navigate. Poppi and her husband were so helpful helping me navigate my way out so had no issues. I can't wait to return in the snow!

Thank You for your patronage, we will be delighted to have you back at Poppi’s Pearl for another outdoor camping excursion! Happy Camping! Poppi
