The Juniper Cabin is one of our frontcountry camper cabins at the Arizona Nordic Village. We are a cross country ski, snowshoe, and fatbiking area in the winter, and in the summer our trails are open to hiking, biking, and horseback riding. We operate under a special use permit from the Coconino National Forest, and the trails on site connect to a vast network of trails across the National Forest. The cabin is situated in a stand of ponderosa pine trees at 8,000 ft of elevation, and the greater trail system extends through meadows and mixed conifer and aspen forest. We have four cabins and three yurts in the front country, and five backcountry yurts that require a hike or bike in.

Quiet, quaint and perfect for the time of Covid. My only suggestion would be to allow tokens to be used in the trailer showers in case someone doesn't feel comfortable going inside. The cabin was clean, with wonderful extra touches like firewood, a back up propane tank and hand sanitizer. We had some trouble working the generator for lighting, but truly it was an overall lovely experience and we will be back.
Loved everything, would stay again.
I had pretty high expectations going into this and it was even better than expected. We had a group of 4 and we all slept very comfortably. The bbq grill, fire pit, outdoor picnic table, and indoor fireplace were awesome, and there were lots of additional helpful details provided. I’d definitely stay here again- it was such an awesome experience. Also Evan the host was amazingly helpful and kind.
I was traveling solo cross country and would recommend this place as safe. I arrived at night and it seemed I was the only person there and it was very dark. A little nervous at first, but comforted to learn there were other people staying that night. As for covid safety, they do it right. I felt completely safe in the very clean and aired out cabin and the staff wore masks and stood 6 ft away. Had a little trouble getting the generator to work for lights, so would be helpful if the instructions for that were on the actual generator. Also couldn’t find instructions for the wood burning stove in the book, but the cabin was warm enough. And Evan was very responsive to questions, so in all I would definitely recommend this cabin. Hope to come back!
