Peace and quiet near the Grand Canyon!About this space If you are interested in booking, please read ALL the following information to make sure this is the right experience for you! Bring your own bedding and an adventurous spirit, The Hubble Hideout awaits you! Just thirty five minutes from the Grand Canyon, this bushcraft inspired stargazing cabin is hooked up and ready for a unique camping experience! Hubble is set up in a very safe and peaceful neighborhood and has a few friendly neighbors, but plenty of privacy as no one is closer than an acre away. There's no light pollution out here so the milky way is visible most nights. Enjoy a large skylight over the full-size bed for some of the best stargazing in the country! The cabin has a large deck with a rocking loveseat facing the picturesque San Francisco peaks. In the front yard there's a fire ring with a grill gate and a spacious picnic area to enjoy meals. Toward the back of the property is a private outhouse with a composting toilet. There is NO running water out here, so you'll have to bring your own to drink/wash up with. This is a self-cleaning space, meaning you don't get charged a cleaning fee in exchange for leaving the cabin clean: supplies are provided. Please sweep the floor and wipe down surfaces before you check out. We keep disinfectant & antibacterial sprays in the cabin, so you can feel free to disinfect the space on arrival, for a little peace of mind in these current times. Of course your furry companions are welcome to join you! We don't charge any pet fees, we just ask you tidy up after them inside and out. Compostable doggy bags are provided and a lint brush for any pet hair that may get on furniture. Any compostables you have can go in the large compost bin about 50 feet behind the camper. We are totally off grid and have no means for garbage disposal out here, so you will need to take ALL trash and recyclables with you when you leave. There is another rental on the same property, about 100 yards away, called The Moontrimmer. If available, you are welcome to book both spaces to accommodate larger groups. Guests will have full private access to the cabin and the acre its built on. Your privacy will always be respected and the property is laid out to ensure that. PLEASE NOTE: No refunds due to weather, cold temperatures, road conditions, if you expected something different, or if it wasn't as easy to find as you would have liked. This is a camping adventure, you may face challenges, PLEASE know what you're getting yourself into and come prepared! CHECKING IN: This property is self check in. Just rock up and make yourself at home. Reading the 'check in instructions' in your booking itinerary (available 72 hours prior to arrival) is advisable and will definitely help you get set up and familiar with the space. Check in after 2PM Check out before 11AM (This is flexible, please get in touch if you'd like to request a different time). Arriving at night makes finding the camper more difficult, as it gets very dark out here and lighting is minimal, utilize the instructions provided and you shouldn't have any problems. WHAT TO BRING: • Bedding of choice (sleeping bag, blankets, pillows etc). • Drinking water. • 1 lb propane canisters for heater (if staying in the winter months). They are widely available but Walmart is the most affordable at $5 each. 1 canister lasts approx 4 hours. • Food and cooking utensils (a grill grate for BBQing over the firepit is provided). • Firewood (make sure there isn't a Coconino County fire ban in place during your stay, and that your fire is out before you leave). • Toilet paper. • Trash bags (grocery bags provided). COMPOSTING TOILET SYSTEM: Before you use the toilet, line it with a green compostable bag (they will be on the top shelf in the trailer wardrobe). Instead of flush, use the scoop to add dirt, and put bag in the compost bin (sign posted) before you check out. This is NOT a pit toilet, nor will there ever be a pit toilet, it is composting bucket system. ROUGH ROADS: Getting out here can be an adventure in itself. There is about 1.5 miles of dirt road leading to the property. EXTREME WEATHER: A propane camping heater is provided October 15th - May 15th, when temps drop significantly. If you are staying during these months, be sure to bring 1 lb propane canisters for the heater, plenty of warm clothes and extra bedding! Monsoon season is approx mid July - mid Sept. If you are staying during this time, check the weather report frequently and try to arrive before a storm. If there has been any flooding and you're unsure about the roads, I can advise you on the best route to take to get to and from the property as I drive here every day. CHECKING OUT: Before checking out put composting toilet bag in the compost bin. Take all trash and recyclables with you and leave the trailer clean for the next guest. All the information you need will be sent after booking!

My daughter and I loved this cute and cozy camper. Very close to Bedrock City, which was a cool little roadside attraction.
