On 64,000 acres of land - you have tons available to explore. There are many types of horse rides available where you have a guide take you out and there's about 15 trails you can go on - you could stay here a while if you wanted. We took a two hour trail ride through the desert - saw many wildflowers and cacti - we definitely recommend a horse ride.

There is an outhouse available for your use, picnic area, hammocking, and you could even go on a walk if you wanted. You are out in the desert, away from the city, you'll see clear night skies bright with stars, you will hear owls hoot, coyotes yip, crickets chrip, horses neigh in the distance, and you will NOT hear the rumble and grumble of cars. It is serene.

The tent area is right behind a lil cabin and near an empty gated horse area on the edge of the ranch property - there are three camp spots available next to each other, so you can come with friends!

My daughter and I booked a camping spot with the Double R through a 3rd party service. We were delighted to find a hospitable group of people who treated us like part of the family within moments of our arrival. The ranch dogs lazed around with us, the wrangler often checked in on our needs, and the owner went out of his way to make sure we were having a comfortable time. On the last day we decided to go on a 3 hour horseback riding excursion and it well worth it! My daughter had the time of her life.

Best way to be socially distant during this time of crisis--we came home refreshed!

Heads up, bring your own shade. The bathroom provided for campers is a flush toilet with a running water sink!

Ron was a great host! He really made sure it was okay that we arrived when it was best for us and made sure we had a great stay. His ranch was beautiful, filled with horses, cows and dogs. The dogs were adorable and one little chihuahua hung out with us all night. He was adorable. Highly recommend for a horse back ride or a night to camp out

The views were amazing, when we got in at night we were able to see a beautiful night sky, the Milky Way and all!! Ron is super friendly and welcoming, even with our late arrival he was very attentive and happy to help. They do horse riding on the property, which I wish we had have had time for, beautiful property, hope I get to come back.

I went camping to fast and meditate during the holidays. I found the energy there to be very invigorating and healing. It was perfect for my needs. The campsite wasn't as private as I imagined though. However, I spent most of the time in my tent for my personal retreat, so it wasn't a big deal.

Great place to camp and see the stars. My group arrived really late but, Ron was very helpful. He helped us set up camp and offered a huge supply of firewood. I would definitely come back here. Thanks Ron!

Ron, his wife, and employee were very welcoming and kind. We had a wonderful stay and the tent camping setup was perfect! The sweet ranch dogs and beautiful horses were very entertaining to both us and our kids. Great roads to explore nearby and beautiful, quiet surroundings.

We had an amazing time at Double R Ranch. We were greeted by Greg and Robert, who were extremely polite and helpful. They offered to help us set up when we checked in, and brought us fire wood so that we didn’t have to worry about getting any for our second night. The site was super private. We got to hang next to a bunch of beautiful horses (sadly we didn’t take a ride , but will next time for sure!), and the view of the stars at night was phenomenal. As we were packing, a really awesome doggo magically appeared and sent us off, which honestly made it super hard to leave, as all we wanted to do was give him belly rubs. We highly recommend a getaway on this ranch. Thanks again Greg and Robert for taking care of us, and Ron for letting us post up last minute. Until next time!
