If you want a more challenging get away, there are accessible mountains to the North and South along with access to the Petrified Forest ~20 min away.Park your RV at this location with endless desert views. Enjoy all of the freedoms the outdoors can bring. There are multiple locations nearby for more outdoor ventures including mountains within a 5 min drive and the petrified forest within 20 min. With easy access to the local community, you will not need to worry about having enough to do.

Quiet Oasis near Petrified Forest

Drive out there was very difficult and campsite was hard to find. Super remote and pretty spot though.

Quiet Oasis near Petrified Forest

The remote untouched quiet location was great and as described. I appreciate that fact...would return and suggest to others for this. (If there were a marker at property, a small loop drive-pad to park would have been preferable, just my suggestion).. The issue I had was the directions, there were two given....one set of directions got me there, but it did not mention a gate and it was obvious, no one takes this way to get into the area; no fresh or recent tracks, big back track. I was coming back from an outing, and was closer to the other set of directions, so I started in, past another gate....at this point, the directions failed completely, no markers or road signs as directions stated, could not get there. (I do not recall if no passenger vehicles was stated on description, it would not make it there....fortunately I had 4x4) No contact was made back to me after initial reservation. Every Hip camp I have been to, I have had contact with property owners. Thank you.

Quiet Oasis near Petrified Forest

Really disappointed because we couldn't find the place despite the GPS and the host's directions. We drove in circles for more than an hour, including dirt roads. We were afraid of damaging our little trailer. Arriving at a fence, we did not dare cross it since there was no sign of a hipcamp or campsite. Luckily there was the Gateway RV park. So really disappointed...

Quiet Oasis near Petrified Forest

Great time at pretty campsite!

Amazing, serene campsite. Easy to find and beautiful views. Very close to the Petrified Forest. The host Brendon was very kind and responsive. I would highly recommend to any traveler looking for an easy, low cost overnight option. I look forward to visiting again!
