I live on 18 acres in a high desert canyon outside of the charming town of Bisbee, AZ. I live minimally- rainwater catchment, 4 solar panels, humanure toilet. The 3 mile road from the highway to my place is rough and requires a high-clearance vehicle that is no stranger to bush terrain. Driving the 3 miles from the highway to my house take about 20 minutes. All of that said, my property is beautiful and secluded. There are 3 homes in the canyon and only one can be seen from my house.
Bisbee, the tiny, historic, artsy town nearby, sits in the center of a group of breathtaking "sky islands", including Chiricahua national monument, the Huachucas (with a hummingbird sanctuary at Ramsey Canyon), the Dragoons, and Cochise stronghold, etc.
If you want some time away from "it all", time to yourself for solitude and reflection, this is it.
