Richard was fabulous! I had a great time staying here. The animals were amazing and dogs were so friendly once they got to know you. Looking forward to coming back one day when I’m in the area again.

Upon arrival noticed a huge dog. I saw this in the photos but what I didn’t expect was the place to be double gated. Doesn’t sit well with me that a place has two gates whether you can come and go as you please.

Camping with Animals Adventure!
What an incredible experience- playing with baby goats, the ducks and turkeys and having the 3 dogs hanging out. An ADVENTURE camp! Richard shared some of his cheese with us and we learned so much about the animals from him.
This is probably one of the most unconventional Hipcamps in the catalog. Do not expect a "regular" camping spot. The art is spread throughout the space, as well as future inventory for art projects. The 3 cattle-protection dogs roam the space day and night. These are large dogs. They are incredibly sweet, but if you have big-dog aversion, you would not be a fit for the space. The goats also wander freely during the day. Richard has either the female or male goats out at any given time. The turkeys and ducks also roam the property much of the time. You can tell that these animals have a fantastic life!
How do I explain the bathroom? Let's say that it is in the spirit of the entire space- adventure!
I was so thankful to have an opportunity to share this farm-art-camp-recycling-commune with Richard and his friends.

This place is amazing if you’re open minded. Richard was a very generous host and his big girl (140 lb shepherd) protected our Campervan all night. Art everywhere, much of it from Burning Man.

a interesting lovely stay.
Richard was nice and responded quickly and even made me feel comfortable and at home. I really enjoyed my stay. this day is definitely for the open-minded person. he has two beautiful dogs, ducks, goats and turkeys. being around that many animals is definitely what I needed.
