What a perfect retreat away from the real world. We chose this location as a chance to make use of our telescope and weren’t disappointed!
Richard bought us fresh water as the pipes had frozen, and helped us out as we were arriving late.
The site itself has a picnic table that could easily fit 6-8 people, firewood was provided for the fire ring, as well as kindling for an easy start. The overhanging trees really frame you in giving you a sense of privacy! The toilet was a composting toilet, but I think that just adds to the experience, it was clean and tidy and secluded with bamboo. There’s lots of room for dogs, just make sure you keep them close due to the wildlife.
Richard is a great guy, excellent communication and did everything in his power to help us in any way he could!
Didn't meet Richard but the site was ready when we arrived. Easy in and out for our motorcycles. Exactly what we expected from the description.
Richard was a great host and we were very happy with the site. So nice not to have anyone else camping around you. He even sent us home with some fresh eggs from his hens!

Right as we got to the spot Richard was out side cutting weeds, he greeted us with a wave and asked if we ate eggs! Sure we said so he directed us to the spot and said he would be there in a second. When we got there Ruby was there to great us (rub her belly for me if you see her) the place was very secluded and there was a big fire pit with wood in it already the bathroom was set up and there is a pad with water right next to it. What more can you ask for!? The eggs were delicious! Great spot great host will definitely camp there again if im down this way again! Thanks again Richard and tell ruby what's up and give her a little bit of bacon for me! Ha!

Great spot in the Bosque. private, clean with lots of shade. nice field for games and such. awesome firepit with ample mesquite wood onsite. clean outdoor privey was a nice touch.
Water right there and even a hose for cleaning. lots of migratory birds in the forest gave an added interest. would have been 10/10 but there are some pretty persistant roosters next door and dog barking that made for early wake up and detracted from the bird songs.
Beautiful shady spot, secluded. Well cared for area with large picnic table and plenty of room for tents, or small campers. Fresh eggs from the nearby hens. Well water faucet right at the campsite!
This was a perfectly pleasant place to stay. Richard, the host, was very friendly and shared some of his chicken's delicious eggs with us. Nothing fancy here but the site is neat and the view is pleasant. We were looking to stay close to Aravaipa Canyon and Richard's is only about 40 minutes or so.
