This property was once a part of the very large Garcia Cattle Ranch. There is a small portion of the Garcia family’s home still standing directly across Manville Road. Pima County owns the land across the street, but many people stop to look at the old adobe wall that remains. When we moved on this land in December of 2018, we decided not to bulldoze the property clear. Instead, we decided to clear weeds and invasive bufflegrass by hand in order to keep the numerous mesquite and ironwood trees and shrub such as creosote and desert broom. We’ve also been judicious about not removing too much of the cactus. You’ll see hummingbirds, quail and morning doves everyday. Roadrunners are plentiful, too. There are Coopers Hawks, Red Tail Hawks and we’ve even seen Caracara on occasion. On warmer days there are small lizards roaming around. They are the preferred food for our roadrunners. You'll hear the howls of Coyotes  in the evenings and if you're lucky, you may also see Javalinas (collared peccary).   Learn more about this land: 50 Amp RV spot with water and sewer 3 miles from the Saguaro National Park! Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Sonoran Desert. Also nearby is the Desert Museum, and the magnificent Gates Pass where watching the sunset is a breathtaking experience. You'll find hiking trails, mountains and a wide variety of desert life nearby. This property is a Certified Wildlife Habitat by the Arizona Wildlife Federation.  Quail, doves, roadrunners and cardinals are among the daily visitors here. Javelina stop by during the winter months. Outdoor hot tub is available for your use, weather permitting. Cell phone reception is good for AT&T and Verizon. There are 20+ local television stations via your antenna. While we are in the country, there is gas, LP and convenience stores nearby. A Walmart Superstore and other major retail stores are about a 20 minute drive away.

Saguaro RV Site
David and his wife are nice and welcoming Hipcamp hosts. Our family consists of 2 adults, 2 kids (2 and 4 y/o), and our dog. The site was perfect for our family needs. Our dog was able to tour the grounds and a vacant lot across the road to take care of his business. There was a nice serving of bird feed so the first morning after our arrival we woke up to an amazing amount of birds feeding. That was fun to see. We had one short night of rain, plenty of morning with dew…that always brings the fresh scent of Creosote out. Loved it. As some reviews mention the site is next to a road and neighbors. We didn’t need any white noise machines to address traffic noise. We slept just fine. There is also a sheet metal partition/wall providing some privacy from neighbors. Overall I thought the traffic on this side road was way less than the other available RV camps close to high traffic roads and freeways. Depending how hard core one is, Saguaro NP is within walking/running, or biking distance. We’d stay here again.

Saguaro RV Site
Big & relatively private
Well kept site with full hookups. Big site and was easy to get to on good roads. A little close to a busy road, but not so close that I was concerned about the kids or dog playing outside the trailer. Road noise during the day, but very little traffic at night. Very dark skies great for stargazing. Close to lots of hiking and mountain biking trails. Also visited Old Tucson Studios, which was only 20 minutes away. The Desert Museum is also a must see and is even closer.

Great site
I liked the secluded feeling their site offers. The beautiful landscape was nice to relax in. My cat enjoyed watching all the birds. David and his wife and very accommodating hosts, and extremely easy to work with. There was a bit of road noise and dog chatter, but it was tolerable and I'd def stay here again.

Saguaro RV Site
Great location just 3 miles from Saguaro National Park. Full hook-ups are great if needed. One spot is close to the road so there is some road noise but it didn’t bother me at all, and it was quiet at night - so no issues sleeping. David was kind and friendly. I would stay again for sure.

Saguaro RV Site
David’s place was perfect for us. It is near a fairly busy road, so there was some road noise. But it wasn’t enough to matter. We watched the stars for a while and then slept like babies! The place is pristine, level, easy to find and get into, and the proximity to the saguaro national park can’t be beat! Also, David was very responsive, accommodating and friendly. We will definitely be back!!
