We have just reopened our campground January 2023. Sleep under the trees of the mesquite bosque. Dip in our swimming hole when it's warm enough. Take a stroll down into the dry San Pedro River bed in the dry season. Our small homestead has dogs, cats, pigs and various small farm animals depending on the time of year. Besides our amazing bird population, we have a seasonal colony of bats on the property. Sit by the pond and watch as they whizz by to get a drink before they head out into the summer night. The three dogs pictured will likely supervise your camp but can always be penned up if they are unwanted. I grew up on this property, my daughter was born here and it has been various things over the years from a small family farm to a charter school to a work trade program. Now it's our small homestead now. All money raised by this site is going right back into the campground, eventually a small cabin space too! We do not live in cell service so please do not use our number as you would a mobile phone. It is a landline. The camp site is close enough to access our Wi-Fi.A small oasis in southern Arizona. The campsite was perfect, and Elizabeth was a joy as well! There were lots of animals, and were all super friendly. The little bathroom was nice too! Cant wait to go back!

Eclectic, With a Side of Breezy!

This was a very cool place to camp at. The spot for the tent is nice and soft, so the spikes set easily. It’s also great for sleeping on with the absence of rocks to dig into your kidney when you roll over. The property is eclectic. Old trailers, bottles, and random stuff all around the property to poke around in, respectfully of course, and to gather inspiration from. The toilet is outside, in this little mud hut with no roof. Toilets are rarely a highlight of any property, but when you’re staring up at the blue skies or bright stars set against a field of black while “pondering life’s mysteries,” there is simply nothing better. Fair warning, a pup may come give you company. The property is laid up against a river bed. Had I had more time here, I would’ve gone for longer excursions and explored more, but I had to get to bed to be up and out early. The owner likes to greet her guests with their pack of dogs (3). Two came back to visit me, albeit one was stand-offish and liked to just bark. The owner will introduce them. All in all, I absolutely loved the property and it’s random vibe. I would absolutely go back to explore some more and, if possible, chat with the owners to find out more about the property.

If you like dogs this is the place for you. Our host was extremely accommodating, friendly, and just overall a good time.

Beautiful land in a very tranquil and remote part of Benson, AZ. Elizabeth was SUPER responsive on the platform and had very clear instructions on arrival / departure. Also had a super friendly demeanor and adorable pups. Would def stay again!

Very nice hosts

We felt that the photos on Hipcamp were not as representative of the site after we arrived. That said, Elizabeth and her daughter were very friendly and made us feel welcome and they had some delightful pets that came to visit us at our site. Having arrived near dusk, we stayed the night and decided to shorten our stay, leaving the next morning.

The best kind of fun!

We had the best time camping out here at on the farm! Hanging out with the pups by the tent and exploring the river behind the property was so much fun! We will certainly be back!
