Near Petrified Forest National Park
Within a 30-minute drive from the Painted Desert Visitor Center.
My lady and , I bought this 1.16 acre's of raw land petrified national Forest estate's . The land is zoned for recreational and residential . The land is literally right next to the petrified national Forest . We decided to list our property as a campground on hip camp so that people can come and check out the petrified national Forest and many other fun things to do and see around the area . The proceeds made from hipcampers will go back into our campground Petrified in the desert campground .This is a unique spot is to escape city life and , take in the beautiful night sky. 1.16 acres of raw land . No hookups , no water , no facilities . Primitive camping indeed!! Amazing sunsets , wild animals of all kind and , the Petrified National Forest right down the road . Holbrook , Arizona is 20 minutes away . Holbrook , Arizona has a post office , grocery store , restaurant's and , super Walmart . This campsite is not far from other popular destinations to visit like the Grand Canyon , Sedona , Flagstaff , Prescott and , New Mexico to name a few . Please leave no trace! Please don't litter!!!!

We didn't make it out there either night we had booked. I messaged the property owner before trying to find the property to ask for directions in case we lost our gps signal. He had never been to the property, but he sent a video with directions that were very difficult to follow. All we had were the gps coordinates, and as we lost our signal at one point, we knew we would never have been able to find a 1.6 acre parcel in the middle of nowhere if we lost our signal again. We also did not know, because as far as we were aware it was not mentioned on the hipcamp site that it's out a 1.2 mile dirt road - no description of the condition of the road on the hipcamp site either. We have an rv, and believe this information should be made available so people can make an informed decision. We forfeited our payment for both nights because we weren't within the 4 days before stay cancellation policy. Not happy.

It was a decent camping spot. Unfortunately there were two male ranchers that approached me and tried to scare me off the land (it worked). They said nobody owns the land (the owner did send me the deed and his license) and told me to beware of the “ dangerous inbreds” that live nearby. They talked about getting shot if you get too close to some military base there and said the neighbor would come pounding on my door if I was still there in the morning. I’m a single female traveling solo so I was not comfortable there. Asked to pay for one night and get refunded for the other but owner never responded. Unless you’re a man or traveling in a group, would not recommend.
