I was more than impressed with this campsite and Vic, the ranch hand who was on site. The campsite is in a conveniently located area (near a town but far enough away that you feel connected to nature), with the campsites all being well spaced out. The outhouse was clean and well maintained. This was exactly what I needed.
What impressed me the most was Vic. I arrived once it was dark, and while the GPS location would have brought me straight to the campground, he met me and had me follow him in his truck to make sure I didn't get lost. While I was hiking the following day, he reached out to tell me that my rain fly had come off my tent but he had secured it. Later, he reached out again saying that if it rained, he would make sure to put a tarp over my tent. When I got back to the campsite, my tent was unfortunately broken due to extremely high winds, but I saw that Vic had used his own extra stakes as well as some heavy rocks to keep the tent from blowing away. He saw that I got back to the campsite and came over to see if I needed any help with my tent and wanted to make sure I was ok. He even seemed apologetic and said he normally would not go to someone's campsite during their stay, but he didn't want anything to happen to my tent. Overall, I was blown away by his attentiveness and kindness - I'm certain that if he had not helped out the way he did, I would have come back to either a completely missing tent, or a tent with parts of it missing. I'm grateful for the way that he acted and would absolutely recommend this campsite
