Welcome to our yurt! Experience staying off grid while taking in the views looking south to Humphreys Peak and north to Red Butte and The Grand Canyon. At night, you can comfortably relax inside the yurt while star gazing through the dome above you. Just behind the yurt is your own private composting toilet (hand soap, sawdust and toilet paper provided) and foot pump sink (cold water only).

Gurty is a fun, cozy, and unique space to camp! The inside is equipped with one queen size bed, a futon that folds out into a full size bed if needed, a pellet stove, table and chairs, solar powered lights, tea and coffee, books, games, and more! Just outside the yurt we offer a chiminea fire pit, camp stove, propane grill with pots and pans, dishes and utensils, an ice box, picnic table, umbrella, hammock, and solar powered lights. We provide you with propane, firewood, and cooking water, so all you'll need with you is food and extra water!

* ALL cooking must be done outside. We apologize for the inconvenience this may bring during inclement weather*

* Our unique pellet stove uses renewable energy, making it a high-efficiency and sustainable heat source! Pellets are the cleanest solid fuel, producing very little air polution!

***NOTE: This stove has a built-in fan that runs whenever the fuel is burning. Please be aware of this sound before booking. We ask that you either turn the stove off before going to bed, or you can keep it on LOW if you prefer the white noise for sleeping!

The neighborhood is quite remote and peaceful. We are tucked away on a dirt road just 1000' feet from the highway, and are the only home down our road. Our closest neighbor is about 4 acres away.

We live on the property a few hundred feet away out of view, but almost always available if you have any questions! The outdoor shower is located just a short walk from the yurt and next door to our tiny home. It will be available to use from 6am to 9pm. The outdoor shower has both hot and cold water.

*Please be aware that we live with our two dogs and 4 kittens inside a fenced in acre of land, so you may see them if using the shower. They are very friendly!!*

*If the temperature drops below freezing, we will have to close down the shower. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause*
