Ex marks the spot—and it lies directly over Ten-X Campground. Criss-crossed by towering pines and other secluding vegetation, the area offers a solitary, tranquil setting among the area just north of the Grand Canyon. And the area’s calm composure is only romanticized by the spacious and generous distancing of each campsite from one another.

I was on a solo road trip and found my way to the Grand Canyon. I don't know what I was thinking...that I could just roll in and find a tent spot in the park without booking a year in I was extremely happy to find this campsite within a short drive to GCNP. It was not that crowded, as in I was able to arrive mid-afternoon, in the middle of the summer, and find a nice shady spot no problem. There are lots of trees and the campsites are a pretty good distance apart. I would highly recommend this spot because it is so close to GCNP, but you don't have to deal with booking so far in advance or the crowds. I will be returning next summer for sure!
