It was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience to camp 30 min away from the Grand Canyon in a beautiful, private location. Our host was extremely friendly and helpful with the surroundings and tips for travel. We recommend this place to anyone on the adventurous side and interested in primitive camping in a beautiful part of the world. With no light pollution we could lay back and watch the stars at night. A truly wonderful experience we won’t soon forget.

The land was not exactly what the pictures represent. The host was not that responsive.

I can't recommend One Tree enough! My brother and I were passing through on a road trip and wanted a more remote and quiet place to stay and this was definitely it. Guillermo made us feel so welcome with a great time around the fire, good company, crazy stories, and even some blues on the guitar. We loved the stay and also got so lucky to see some of the most incredible stars we've ever experienced. His dog Tweeder was also the cutest babygirl too! I hope to be back!

I arrived late, near the end of dusk, but was able to find the place easily using GPS as well as the host's instructions. The site is bare bones, as described, and on a piece of land which trully feels like it is in the middle of nowhere. I enjoyed the blissful quiet of this site the most. Guillermo was staying in his camper trailer while I tent camped at the site, and he made a point of welcoming me and gave me some great advice about my trip to the Grand Canyon scheduled for the following day. I hope to stay here again if I am in the area.

Not far from the Grand Canyon at all!! This is a beautiful spot surrounded by amazing mountains in the distance with an even more beautiful sunset/sunrise view! It’s warm during the day but gets cold at night so very comfortable sleeping. Our host, Guillermo, was extremely hospitable, we felt not only safe but had a lot of fun talking with him about his adventures and ours and he had a lot of awesome tips about the surrounding mountains and even gave us good advice on where to go in the Grand Canyon to avoid all the tourists. Altogether an amazing stay!

Guillermo's property was exactly what I was looking for during my quick weekend trip to the Grand Canyon. It's primitive camping in a safe secluded area only about 40min from the Grand Canyon. For $15 you can't beat it. There's a gas station near by so you can get food, firewood, beer etc. easily. Guillermo was also an amazing host. I already feel like we're old friends! Also, his mini Aussie is the cutest dog I've ever seen. 10/10 would recommend!

My boyfriend and I had an amazing stay at Onetree! After stopping at the canyon, it was a short drive getting to the campsite. We watched the sun rise over the hills in the distance... it was pure beauty. Guillermo provided us with lighter fluid and a shovel for a fire! If you are searching for the silence and serenity of the valley, Onetree is a great stay.

Onetree WonderlandA picture of the moon doesn’t do it justice! It was big, bright, and beautiful.
