A short walk takes you to our working "beyond organic" farm. Grass fed beef, pasture raised pork and chicken, seasonal veggies, honey bees- literally something for everyone. Jump in anytime to help and learn about sustainable farming or simply enjoy the sights and sounds of the simple life.

If you've ever dreamed of "Off-Grid Living", this might be the experience for you. We are 100% solar powered, grow and raise all our own food, compost any waste and have provided our own heat and water sources.

The property is a very private, fenced 50 acres at the end of a 5 mile dirt road. Access is year round but be prepared to sit down with a good book, on occasion, during monsoon rains while roads dry out.

Our elevation is 5100'to 5300' with pleasantly warm summer days and cool, comfortable nights. Campsite has a nice fire pit and we provide seasoned Juniper to keep you cozy in the evenings.

There is excellent Verizon reception at the camp spot, AT&T service is a short hike away.

Joel and Amy were amazing hosts! We arrived Friday afternoon and Joel was gracious enough to offer to meet us at the highway to make sure we were able to find the farm okay. After getting our camp set up, they invited us over to the farm and gave us an awesome tour of all of the hard work they had to put in to get their farm up and running. They gave us all of the space and privacy when needed but always were open for us to go and spend time with them.
Campsite had amazing sunset views and plenty of space with fire pit and picnic table to help us prepare our dutch oven pizzas for dinner.
We would recommend this campsite 100% Thank you again Joel and Amy!

What a gem! Our first time using hipcamp- on a trip from Las Vegas to ABQ on busy memorial weekend and for a late start. Joel and Amy’s spot is in beautiful country. Spot is private and they invited us to join them for a drink at night up at the house or to just enjoy ourselves at the site- we chose the latter. Clean, simple site with a picnic table, potable water and firewood provided with a nice fire ring. Plenty of room for our larger tent and car. The site overlooks a small valley as well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Fort Rock Farms. The first night was cold but the next few days were beautiful. The camp site sat on a bluff overlooking a valley that gave you an amazing view of the sunset. Joel and Amy are right up the road if you need anything. They were welcoming and included us in some of their activities. We had fun exploring the farm checking out the chickens and cows.

The campsite is nice and level with a fire pit area just below the camping area. There is also a nice area behind it to set up some hammocks. The well water was great, just be careful not to flood that area so it doesn't become muddy.

Overall it was a great experience. The camp site is nice and secluded, the quiet and stars are amazing and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. We wish we had more time to explore but maybe next time. Its definitely a great campsite.
