Incredible views in a stargazer's paradise! I've designed this retreat to be a digital detox. Meditate in the clean air and the wildness of your surroundings. You won't even think about your phone or the stresses going on in the world.

You'll enjoy stellar views, peace and quiet, all within driving distance to amazing geological and cultural destinations. There's a lava spout next to my property and tons of volcanic rock everywhere. Very simple composting toilet available. 5 minute drive to a locally owned store for supplies, restaurants and even country dancing & karaoke (dependent on Covid restrictions). This is truly primitive camping- but keep an eye out for glamping options coming soon!

Nearby amenities:

McHood Park (amazing reservoir for swimming and cliff jumping outside Winslow--our favorite summertime spot!!)

Petrified Forest National Park

Lyman Lake State Park

Painted Desert

Lake Concho (bald eagle sightings & lots of other birds!)

Concho Falls (gps it! Sometimes they are on, sometimes they are off but its a cool hike either way once you find it!)

Hikes in the White Mountains (trail maps available at .gov website-Hipcamp won't let me link it)

Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest

Coconino National Forest

2 hrs to Flagstaff

4 hours to Phoenix

Short drives to the really cute towns of Winslow, Show Low, or Holbrook.

There is a lavender farm, vineyard, and tasting room nearby as well!

This is for one tent site or one self-contained RV, skoolie, car camp, etc. Locally owned store just minutes away if you need gas or supplies. The Concho Public Library is just down the road if you aren't getting a data signal and really need it, you can use the library's wifi outside. Nearby restaurants include Firestone Pizza and a bbq joint next door! I highly recommend Firestone for a variety of food, drinks, great customer service as well as entertainment and dancing (pending Covid restrictions). Cows are free-roaming in Apache county so don't be surprised to see them grazing. Coyotes will sing you to sleep and while I've never seen them on my property, they will prey on pets so be sure to keep your pets inside when you go to bed. Please douse your fires to completely extinguished in the community fire pit.

Very open with solitude and views of the skies and countryside. Great site if your looking for meditation, wide open spaces and simplicity. Yes it is great for star gazing.

Great spot. Amazing views. Instructions to get there were spot on. Little privacy to other campers on site as open field. We were only ones there so worked. Toilet is very, very basic.

This place had lovely fews and felt private but open. Sarah was great over text and messaging.

We arrived late at night in the rain so we didn't get to avail ourselves to the stars but I bet they're lovely here!

The place is a great get away. It might be a little hard to get there but if you use the coordinates given properly that shouldn't be a problem. Great place to stargaze make sure you pick a day without no moon.
