Skyborne Ranch Camp is located at an elevation of 6000 feet on the Coconino Plateau adjacent to the Kaibab and Coconino National Forest and San Francisco Mountains. Surrounded by Juniper and Pinyon Pine Trees, hiking trails are abundant as are scenic drives. The magnificent Grand Canyon is just 30 minutes away! The town of Valle is only 5 minutes away and features the brand new attraction of Raptor Ranch, a mineral and crystal shop (Rocks & More) a convenience store and souvenir shops. Historic Williams is only 40 minutes away with Bearizona and Deer Farm animal attractions as well as a few fishing and paddling lakes. Flagstaff with its forested hiking trails and the Snowbowl is 45 minutes away and the Red Rock majesty of Sedona is only 90 minutes away. Also within easy driving range are the Verde Valley Railway, the historic mining town of Jerome and the wildlife park Out Of Africa.

Skyborne Ranch features a quiet and peaceful place to relax after your day of adventures. It's an off grid property with on-site owners and abundant wildlife all around. Elk, deer, antelope, bobcats, coyote just to name a few. One of the best features are the night skies- some of the clearest and brightest in the nation! Bring your binoculars and enjoy an evening on the Stardeck gazing at the brilliant stars, domestic air traffic and occasionally Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UFOs). Because of the elevation, the nights are cool so you may also enjoy an aromatic Juniper and Pinyon pine campfire in the fire pit just off the deck. Bring extra warm sleeping bags in the Spring and Autumn.

If invited, we will gladly engage with you in conversations about all things astronomical, metaphysical and phenomenal. However, we operate on the premise that our guests want to do be left alone to do their own thing so we try to be as inconspicuous as possible during your stay.

Skyborne Ranch is a high vibe place to kick back and get in touch with Nature. Quiet hours are between 10pm and 6am. Please note that we are 1/2 mile off highway 180 down an unmaintained dirt road that is best traversed by 4WD truck or SUV especially in the rainy season. However a passenger car can make it if there have been no heavy rains.

Do yourself a favor and STAY HERE! Dan’s campsite is the perfect location! It is only a short (and scenic) 35 minute drive from the Grand Canyon. There are also many local hikes around the area that are even a shorter distance. Dan’s campsite is very clean and has a shower, compost toilet, and stargazing deck. The tent pad is also very clean and is the perfect spot to accommodate a small or large tent. Dan is very nice and has many awesome stories. He is very responsive and he always responds very quickly. He is the most accommodating host that I have stayed with and I would absolutely recommend booking here! Finally, if you have a telescope, bring it!! The night sky is unbelievable here.

Daniel (good name) lol - was a great host. He was immediately welcoming and friendly. Daniel did a walk through of the imenities and gave me a little tour of the property as I was interested in the off grid lifestyle. The camp was clean and organized and I felt really peaceful and safe out there in nature. It was reassuring that I had such a knowledgeable and friendly host on site. I would definitely recommend staying at Skyborne. Great experience!

It was a very nice space. It was small but not too small. The camp host was super nice and helped us out if we needed anything. I would definitely go back there again.

This camp site is the perfect distance from the Grand Canyon while still feeling like you’re not in the middle of nowhere but definitely off-grid!! Daniel’s instructions were extremely helpful; we got to the site no problem. This campsite is a little slice of paradise and I’m so glad Daniel and Dan decided to share it with us! It has everything you need for a great camping experience but better! We were comfortable enough to do our own thing when we wanted but Daniel was great company as well so we enjoyed our dinner together and stargazing afterward. I’ve never seen so many stars in my life. I would recommend this to anybody who would listen. 5/5 stars!!

Fantastic! Great views of the mountains, spectacular place to stargaze, and the kindest, most accommodating and patient host I've interacted with. He yad great suggestions for little trails and sights near the area and went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of.

Real camping experience with some great stars rough mile of road before you get there but you are the only ones at the site so it’s worth it. Daniel explained everything well and kept the campsite very maintained. I think I would camp here again for sure

Daniel was one of our best host during our trip. If you need privacy, he will let you live as you want and you won't see him, but if you are curious about his property and his many projects then feel free to ask and you will discover and share a lot about various subject.

We spend 3 perfect days here on his property where every amenities are designed to have low impact on the environment. Everything in this camp is made for you to slow done your pace and take it easy so if you need a break from the city, go there.

We will definitely come back one day to see how much Daniel improved his land.
