Description

Bring your wild and crazy friends to the base of O’Leary Peak, where you can pitch your tent on level ground amid the remains of ancient and spectacular volcanic activity. In fact, this area is so unique, that much of it has been protected in two national monuments. Wupatki National Monument features an ancient four-story pueblo, and Sunset Crater National Monument features the remains of a volcano that erupted 900 years ago. O’Leary Group Campground is also the perfect starting point for an O’Leary Peak Climb, so pack your camera and get ready to explore.
