Description

There’s something special lurking near the Childs Dispersed Camping Area—the remnants of a once-thriving hot springs resort. Today, all that’s left of the resort are the primitive pools overlooking the Verde River. These beautiful springs are about a mile from the dispersed camping area. Clothing is optional, but fun and relaxation, that’s mandatory. The dispersed camping area sits below a defunct dam, near the beautiful river that has reclaimed its path after spending years and years as merely a trickle. You could say that mother nature won each and every battle it fought with developers in this wild land, and now it can be yours to explore and appreciate.
