Andrew is very kind and willing to help. We arrived a bit late that day, unfortunately, there was a little rain and strong wind. We are grateful for Andrew's assistance. He also provided WiFi and helped us light a fire. It was truly a warm and memorable night. We will definitely come back if we have the chance.

Andrew is a great host.
Very welcoming and attentive.
The camp is very pleasant, it is in nature.
We were able to watch the sunrise in a wonderful setting.
The amenities are rustic but it's functional and that's part of the adventure.

We liked camping on Andrew’s land. Defenitely off the grid, but still a hot shower in the morning. Very friendly host, level camping grounds.

Quiet and convenient stay for our family of 4 (plus our dog). We enjoyed two nights at a tent site while we visited the Grand Canyon and Sedona near by. Andrew was very nice and accommodating, and the view was spectacular. Wi-Fi and a hot shower took it over the top! I would highly recommend a stay here.

Our host Andrew went above and beyond to make sure we got there and was very accommodating. What would be really helpful would be signs directing and indicating where to go. In the bathroom it would have been nice to have a foot pedal on diaper genie in composting bathroom to throw away toilet paper so you don’t have to touch the lid. The showers hot water was having some issues but Andrew was working hard to fix that. The views were breathtaking and starry night skies. My kids loved all of the animals Andrew brought out. They had an awesome experience. This was our first travel trailer experience and he even brought down his own personal generator for us. The campsites were a little too close together but there was only one night with another family.

My boyfriend and our dog enjoyed tent camping on Andrew’s campsite! We got there late but Andrew still made sure to meet us and talk to us about the land. Their bathroom was super clean. They also had hot water for showers which is so special! We were only there one night but he made the morning special and fun by bringing over some of the animals he has. He brought a baby goat, a bunny, a kitten, and little chicks.

Interesting area not far from the south rim of the Grand Canyon. This area is kind of a high plain with clear views of distant mountains and an incredibly clear sky at night. A number of off-grid residents have homes or campers set up on large-ish lots on a network of dirt roads that extends for some distance. This area did not feel crowded. Andrew was super friendly and made us feel welcome. The hot shower contraption that he had set up worked well and was very nice to have after a dusty day on the trails. I was very happy to find a campsite on short notice and this fit our needs well for the night that we were in the area.

Let me start with THERE'S A SHOWER WITH HOT WATER! To most this isn't a big deal, but when you are camping near the Grand Canyon it is a luxury! Andrew is very accommodating and is always trying to make sure you are having the best time whilst you are visiting. During our stay we had really bad wind and he helped us relocate to a spot where it wasn't as windy. Overall I recommend his location, also you are staying very close to the grand canyon at a great cost!

We had a great pit stop at Andrew’s property.
This was super easy for us to make it to the south rim of the Grand Canyon in the morning and then head to flagstaff a round about way.
It was great to be able to shower off before heading out for the day. Thanks for having us!

Staying at this campsite was such an amazing experience! Andrew and his family were so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and happy experience. It is also a fairly quick drive up into the Grand Canyon which saved us gas money and time! They are a super generous family and I would definitely stay here again.

It was a lovely area and Andrew was super helpful. We arrived after dark so he met us at the highway and guided us to the campsite. He even got a fire going for us while we set up camp. The shower was perfect, it’s a great spot if you’re on the way to the Grand Canyon.

We loved camping at Andrew's place. It was perfectly located between the Canyon and Flagstaff and it's got charm, mountain view, hot shower, and wildlife sightings - a chicken narrowly escaping the coyote! Andrew was a very gracious host and even cut us some firewood. We felt safe and comfortable. Would recommend!

Great weekend at Lonesome Dove! Beautiful spot with incredible sunsets. Very private and quiet with lots of room to spread out. The shower was amazing and made 3 nights of tent camping much more enjoyable. Andrew and his family were fun, gracious hosts and we really enjoyed getting to meet them. They went out of their way to be sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

He provided bathrooms and shower with hot water! That was very appreciative. It was windy during our weekend, but when it stopped we took a shower right away and it was the most refreshing part of our trip. It's worth it if you just need a place to rest and chill until the next day. You can see a lot of stars at night over here!

It's always tough for me to leave a critical or negative review for places hosted by everyday folks like us. I want them to succeed but I also think it's important that guests have a great experience on their trip and know what to expect. First, let me say that the land Andrew has is really great. It's far enough off the road that you don't hear any cars, also far enough from his neighbors that we didn't hear them, and not so far that you start to wonder if you're going the right way. The night views were spectacular as the photos show. We know this area to be more like high desert so we weren't expecting a forest or trees.
This, sadly, is where the positives ended for us. I believe Andrew's intentions to be good and sincere but the toilet and shower he had constructed just weren't adequate to be listed and included in the price. I felt they were reasonably safe but well below what other hosts have had at their properties at a similar price. The dirt road off the main road is a bit tricky to spot at night and there isn't anything to identify that you've uniquely found the correct spot. The dirt road itself starts off reasonably well maintained but once you get closer there are dips and rocks that should be serviced. Lastly, the sites aren't identified as far as we could tell. We got lucky that no one else was staying since it was a weekday night but, had there been other people, there wouldn't have been much privacy.

Andrew loves sharing the beauty of his land and makes you feel like a special guest. The amenities are a little rustic but perfect for off grid camping with close access to Grand Canyon NP. We stayed in camper vans for one night.

Andrew was so very nice and helped us settle in. The campsite is pretty open with not too much coverage when there are winds. The views are great! Might work well for RVs that are more self contained but there is a toilet and outdoor shower available.

Absolutely loved the property. The stars at night are so clear and bright. Not to far from the Grand Canyon, it was an easy drive. Perfect for what we needed.

Great location close enough to Grand Canyon south rim. Host was incredibly welcoming and engaged.
Ground are quiet and peaceful. There is a dirt road from the gate to the site that is reasonable and provides a good spread for a dog walk or workout run.
The handful of farm animals was a delightful addition.

Great location about 40 mins from the Grand Canyon visitor center. Andrew's property was amazing - lots of space, great views, and had everything we needed including a hot shower, bathroom, fire pit, and picnic table. Andrew was very communicative and helpful during our stay (thanks for helping us light our fire the first night :) Highly recommend this site!
