The sites are gorgeous. We arrived to a stunning sunset and had amazing panoramic views of the San Francisco Peaks. The site was rugged and open and we set up under a huge, beautiful Juniper tree. The site was private and quiet, we loved being in a rural setting! There were hammocks, corn hole sets and a cute wall tent for games and reading which we loved. The bathroom is a clean, cool green tent with a nice tidy feel. We cooked on the table provided under a string of solar lights and loved when dozens and dozens more solar lights came on! What a lovely, romantic setting! The night sky was incredible! We could see the Milky Way and millions of stars. We downloaded the Skyview app, like suggested, and had a map of the night sky. The evening was cool so we slept like bears and awoke to a beautiful sunrise. The outdoor shower was great and the fresh water woke us up, haha. We loved chatting with Heidi and love how she has kept a natural environment for her guests. Unlike any campground around....WE WILL BE BACK!

A beautiful space with a view and all the privacy lacking in every established campground. Heidi was very patient with our questions and we managed to book Base Camp and Site II at the same time for our crew and dogs. Very thoughtfully put together, and the Lounge Tent was a welcome place for all to come together for a game of cards. We want to return soon!

Secluded all natural setting, real peaceful and warm vibe with elevated clear views of surrounding mountains and Humphrey’s peak. Not too far from Flagstaff and even shorter drive to the canyon. Slept under the stars just perfect. Very hospitable host.

We felt lucky to be about 33 minutes from the Grand Canyon, as camping was closed due to Covid19. There also was a fire ban in the region, except in covered fire pits, which they had, so we were able to cookout and make s’mores. Make sure you read the directions and enter the open gate with cattle guard — one entrance over from the place Google tells you, which is a private entry. Read all the different driving instructions, coming from different directions and download them to your phone, as reception may be spotty. There were other campers there. The solar shower is in the open, so wear a swimsuit if you’re shy about public nudity. Schedule for a moonless night, and you’ll be able to see the Milky Way.

The campsite is well laid out with a toilet tent, washing facilities and a common area tent. There are spare camp chairs, cast iron pans and a table all on a first come basis.

The site is sufficiently away from the main road that there is no traffic noise. Also great views of the night sky since there is little light pollution. We were about 40 minutes away from the Grand Canyon South Rim.

Awesome spot! Site 2 is 20ish yards from the common area so it’s private but not secluded. Loved my night here.

We stayed here during a road trip through Az. The site we stayed at (II) had a little table set up which was lovely to eat at.
The site was huge and with a view from the campsite and such a perfect space for star gazing. We were able to drive from there to see the Grand Canyon for both sunrise and sunset. Great place to stay.
