Gordon is a Star Host

This area is one of the last remaining natural areas around Sylvan lake. Our family has spent over 120 years as stewards of the land and are excited to share what we have protected. Enjoy Private Tent Camping in a Pristine Aspen Forest with a fire pit. All within 500 feet of Sylvan Lake. This is the perfect place to disconnect yourself from the city! Your fee includes free access to 20 acres of forest, excellent wildlife viewing and unlimited deadfall to use as firewood, if you don't mind some manual labour. My kids cut and split firewood if you would like some waiting at your site when you arrive. We have seasoned and split bundles for $9 and you can pre-purchase them when you complete your checkout. It's like a lemonade stand for them...just more work. ;) A professionally maintained porta-potty is on-site for your comfort. We are pet-friendly! If you enjoy the water, this is an ideal location for Kayaking, Paddleboarding or just lounging on an air mattress. With its picturesque scenery and shallow shoreline, Sylvan Lake is a great place to spend some time. Sylvan Lake's laid back nature and small-town charm are warm and inviting and have all the amenities that you could ask for. We look forward to hosting you!

Site 1 - Lone Pine.
Perfect spot for my reactive dog!
My dog and I had a great stay on Gordon’s land. We loved the privacy and natural surroundings. Gordon was quick to respond to questions, and even had suggestions to make sure my reactive doggo had a great time too. The lights on the “lone pine” were a sweet touch. The porta-potty was stocked with LOTS of toilet paper, and even Clorox wipes. I would definitely camp here again!

Amazing little gem
We ended up going for site 2 just as it was bigger and we had far too much stuff for camping! All three of the sites are roomie, just amazing. We went the week the kids went back to school and so the place was super quiet. Next to a camp but I bet that is a lot of fun in the summer!! The lake is to die for. Take a boat or kayak and go!! Close to the boat town if you forget anything but once you are in the campground you feel like you are miles away from anything! Gordon was an amazing host and his boys brought wood for us. Definitely would go back!

Site 3 - Hideaway.
Site #3 is small and cozy, a perfect site for 2 people. All 3 sites are not far from each other but still have your own privacy. My boyfriend and I will definitely comeback here in the future

Site 1 - Lone Pine.
Gord was very accommodating. We moved to site 2 as it was a better space for us. No problems. He even sent us some info on the northern lights. A beautiful private and nicely treed spot with fire pit. We tried the walk next to the field but the aggressive dogs didn’t make it feel very welcoming. I would still go back and would recommend it to friends if they’re looking for a private spot to camp. Thanks Gord

Site 2 - Tall Tree.
Absolutely wonderful! Kids had a great time and plus close to the lake! Enough room for 2 large tents and and gazebo. Very quite and and private. Gord is an amazing host and was very helpful with questions and responding. Definitely a family who cares about their campers. Will definitely be going back and hopefully a yearly camp out.. hopefully next time for a longer time.
