Description

Salmon Lake Cabin sits on the eastern shore of the lake on Baranof Island, about 11 miles southeast of Sitka, Alaska. The cabin is surrounded by a forest of hemlock and spruce, and is a great spot for fishing, hiking, and hunting. Try your luck at catching cutthroat trout or Dolly Varden in the lake, head to the outlet stream for its pink and sockeye salmon runs in July and August, and coho salmon runs from August through September. The cabin has furniture, but bring all your other necessities, like cooking utensils and water treatment. Bonus: there’s a skiff with oars at the cabin, so feel free to launch it on the lake for a day of fishing and exploring!
